It’s possible that your current blood pressure medication is not providing adequate control, especially during the evenings. Sudden spikes in BP with vertigo and high pulse rate may indicate the need for adjusting your treatment plan or investigating other triggers like stress or diet. Please consult a cardiologist or physician for a detailed evaluation and medication review.

Ok I can understand your problem.

Your symptoms suggest inadequate BP control in the evening, likely due to timing or lack of long-acting antihypertensives. Adjusting your medication timing and coverage will likely help stabilize BP, reduce vertigo, and control heart rate. Consult your physician to implement the new regimen safely.

Are you taking medicines of your own or doctor advised. Do you get sweating and palpitations?

A sudden increase in blood pressure (BP), particularly in the evening with associated symptoms like vertigo and elevated pulse rate, can be concerning. It’s important to identify potential triggers or underlying causes contributing to these fluctuations. First, reevaluate your current medication regimen with your healthcare provider. Losartan (Losakind) is typically used for hypertension management, but the timing and dosage may need adjustment, especially if it coincides with the time when your BP spikes are happening. Additionally, consider the role of nifedipine, which is used on an SOS basis. Frequent use may indicate the need for routine medication adjustments. Lifestyle factors like diet, stress, and physical activity usually play an important role in BP control. Keep a detailed log of your BP readings, symptoms, and any contextual triggers like stress or dietary choices. Pay attention to sodium intake, and aim to minimize processed foods which can escalate BP levels. Eating regular, balanced meals and staying hydrated are crucial. If vertigo and increased pulse are persistent, they could point to another underlying condition like arrhythmia or issues with inner ear function. Seeing a healthcare professional for further diagnostic testing like an EKG or lab tests may be necessary. Furthermore, employing relaxation techniques such as deep breathing exercises or meditation in the evenings may help manage stress-induced BP spikes. If sudden changes in BP are associated with severe symptoms like chest pain or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention without delay since this could indicate a more serious condition.
