Hair loss can indeed be frustrating, and it’s important to address potential underlying causes rather than just symptoms. Chronic hair loss can stem from factors like genetic predisposition, hormonal imbalances (such as thyroid problems or PCOS), nutritional deficiencies (like iron, vitamin D, or zinc), or stress. The shampoos and oils often only provide surface-level benefits, and won’t solve these deeper issues. Consider getting a comprehensive blood panel to check for nutrient deficiencies and hormone levels. Including more protein-rich and iron-rich foods in your diet could also help support hair growth. If you haven’t already, consulting a dermatologist or a trichologist may provide more insight into specialized treatments. Prescription medications like minoxidil or other therapies might be necessary depending on the diagnosed cause.

Regarding chickenpox marks on your cheek, if they have persisted for over 10 years, they are likely scars. Treatment options can vary based on scar type (e.g., atrophic vs. hyperpigmented). Dermatological procedures like laser therapy, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion can often improve scar appearance. Topical treatments with ingredients like retinoids, silicone gel, or alpha hydroxy acids may also offer minimal improvement. It might be beneficial to consult a dermatologist to explore which interventions are suitable for your skin type and scar condition. Self-care for both issues is important, but professional guidance tailored to your specific situation often yields more effective results.
