can we apply aloe vera on oily hair

I am really confused about my hair situation right now. For some reason, my hair has become super oily and lifeless. Like, I wash it every day, but it still looks greasy by the afternoon. I was thinking about trying something different. A friend mentioned that aloe vera is great for hair and stuff, and now I'm wondering, can we apply aloe vera on oily hair? I mean, I've seen those videos where people rave about its benefits, but I don't know if it might make my already oily hair even greasier. Sounds counterintuitive, right? I tried coconut oil once, never again — my hair just got worse. But with aloe vera, it feels like it could give me moisture without weighing it down? I read it has soothing properties too, which might calm my scalp down because it sometimes feels itchy. Has anyone with oily hair tried aloe vera? Did you see any difference?
