face brightening pack

I am feeling a bit lost here. Last week, I tried this new face brightening pack at my friend's place because I thought maybe it could help my dull skin. I’ve been struggling with my complexion for a while now, especially after all those long nights and too much screen time. Anyway, I used this face brightening pack, and I noticed some slight redness afterward. Is that normal? Can a face brightening pack actually cause irritation? I also realized I don't really know how frequently I should use it. Should I space it out more? Plus, I kinda expected to see immediate results, lol, but it didn’t really change much on my face. Am I using it wrong? Or is it just that certain face brightening packs work better for some skin types? A friend recommended another one that she swears by, but now I’m scared to try anything new. Also, I heard that face brightening packs can dry out the skin sometimes. Anyone else had that experience? Just trying to get some insights before I decide to commit to it again. Any advice on the best way to use a face brightening pack would be super helpful!
