vanish liquid stain remover

I am feeling really frustrated because I've had this pesky stain on my carpet for like a week now. I spilled a bit of red wine during a gathering (of course) and thought it’d come out sooner, but it seems like it's becoming part of the carpet now. I’ve tried some basic cleaning methods, but nothing is working. I just came across a product called vanish liquid stain remover and I’ve heard some positive things about it from a friend, but I’m not sure. Does anyone have experience with vanish liquid stain remover? I mean, does it really work like people say? I don’t want to ruin my carpet even more while trying to fix this. Also, should I prep the area in any special way before I use vanish liquid stain remover? Like, should I blot it first or anything, or just pour it on? I did read the instructions, but sometimes they sound so universal and not all stains are the same, right? If anyone can share their tips or advice on vanish liquid stain remover, that would be super helpful. Like, do you think it will completely get rid of this wine stain or am I just wishful thinking? I seriously don’t wanna replace the carpet!
