Dr. Arsha K Isac
I am a general dentist with 3+ years of working in real-world setups, and lemme say—every single patient teaches me something diff. It’s not just teeth honestly, it’s people… and how they feel walking into the chair. I try really hard to not make it just a “procedure thing.” I explain stuff in plain words—no confusing dental jargon, just straight talk—coz I feel like when ppl *get* what's going on, they feel safer n that makes all the difference. Worked with all ages—like, little kids who need that gentle nudge about brushing, to older folks who come in with long histories and sometimes just need someone to really sit n listen. It’s weirdly rewarding to see someone walk out lighter, not just 'coz their toothache's gone but coz they felt seen during the whole thing. A lot of ppl come in scared or just unsure, and I honestly take that seriously. I keep the vibe calm. Try to read their mood, don’t rush. I always tell myself—every smile’s got a story, even the broken ones. My thing is: comfort first, then precision. I want the outcome to last, not just look good for a week. Not tryna claim perfection or magic solutions—just consistent, clear, hands-on care where patients feel heard. I think dentistry should *fit* the person, not push them into a box. That's kinda been my philosophy from day one. And yeah, maybe sometimes I overexplain or spend a bit too long checking alignment again but hey, if it means someone eats pain-free or finally smiles wide in pics again? Worth it. Every time.

Hello

This is most likely anxiety-related frequent urination, not permanent overactive bladder, especially since it happens mainly when you are outside home and during nervousness. In teenagers, this pattern is very common and usually reversible.

Recovery time is typically 4 to 12 weeks, but since your symptoms have been present for several months, it may take around 2 to 3 months to improve steadily with proper bladder training and anxiety control. The medicine Mirabegron can help, but lasting improvement usually comes from managing anxiety and gradually increasing the time between bathroom visits.

If there is no pain, burning, fever, or blood in urine, the condition is generally not dangerous.

Take care Feel free to talk

But I don’t have any anxiety but I ahve anxiety beacuae of this problem. early morning slight pain

From what you’ve described, frequent urination can be disruptive, especially for a student managing school commitments. The symptom of needing to urinate every 5-15 minutes, particularly when outside, could potentially align with overactive bladder (OAB), but other possibilities should be explored. Conditions like urinary tract infections, especially in males at your age, though less common, could be a concern, or even stress and anxiety can sometimes manifest with frequent urination. The fact that you noticed improvements with mirabegron, a medication often used to treat OAB, could point towards an overactive bladder as a potential cause, yet the short duration of relief suggests revisiting diagnosis. Low levels of vitamin D and B12 generally wouldn’t cause frequent urination directly but addressing these deficiencies is still important for your overall health. I would recommend consulting with a healthcare provider for a thorough evaluation, including urinalysis to rule out infections or other urinary tract issues, and perhaps a bladder diary could help track when and how often you’re urinating. They might consider other diagnostic tests or even behavioral therapies which can help with symptoms. It’s crucial to identify the underlying cause to tailor the treatment properly. If anxiety is a factor, techniques to manage stress could also be helpful. Engage your healthcare provider on this to get a tailored approach and plan out further steps. Recovery time varies widely based on the underlying cause and treatment responsiveness, hence an accurate diagnosis is essential for effectively managing your symptoms. Be sure to stay hydrated but avoid excessive fluid intake and monitor any potential dietary triggers like caffeine that might exacerbate symptoms.
