homemade face mask for glowing skin and acne

I am really struggling with my skin lately. I've always had oily skin but now I've got these super annoying breakouts and my skin just looks dull. A friend mentioned I should try a homemade face mask for glowing skin and acne, which sounds great ’cause I prefer natural stuff over chemical products. But I'm not sure what to use, like, what ingredients work best? I've been looking at honey and lemon, maybe even yogurt?? I tried a simple mask with those last week but it didn't do much. I feel like I need something that can help with the acne but also brighten my complexion, you know? I'm worried I might be making it worse or irritating my skin! There's also this home remedy my aunt used to swear by that’s supposed to be a great homemade face mask for glowing skin and acne but I can't remember the full recipe. Should I be doing this regularly or just once in a while? What if it doesn't work out? Can too many ingredients be bad? I wanna glow again and clear this acne up, any recommendations would be awesome!
