Considering a persistent, hard, immobile lump under the collarbone along with a cough, night sweats, and fatigue, there are a few important things to consider. These symptoms together could potentially be indicative of a more serious condition, such as an infection, chronic inflammatory condition, or less commonly, a malignancy like lymphoma. The fixed nature of the lump, especially if it has not reduced in size, warrants a thorough evaluation by a healthcare professional. It’d be crucial to get this checked out as soon as possible. You should contact your doctor for a physical examination, and they may recommend imaging studies like an ultrasound or CT scan, and possibly even a biopsy to determine the nature of the lump. In terms of cough, while it might be usual for you, combined with night sweats and tiredness, it could be a symptom that needs to be closely monitored within the overall context. These can point towards something systemic that needs attention. Try noting any changes about your day-to-day energy levels, alongside any other new symptoms. Monitoring your weight regularly might also help provide useful insight. Until you see your doctor, be sure to note down everything you are experiencing, as this information can be valuable during your medical evaluation. Avoid ignoring these red flags. Getting prompt medical advice for a proper diagnosis and detailed management plan will be your best course of action.

Hello

A hard, fixed lump under the collarbone (~2.5 cm) lasting 2 weeks with fatigue, cough, and night sweats needs prompt medical evaluation.

Lymph nodes in this area can enlarge from infection, but fixed, non-moving nodes can also signal more serious causes.

What to do now:

See a doctor within days for an exam and likely tests (blood work + imaging).

Urgent care if the lump grows quickly, you get fever, breathing trouble, or worsening weakness.

Don’t wait for it to shrink on its own.

I trust this helps Thank you Take care

Based on your symptoms, a hard, fixed lump under the collarbone measuring around 2.5 cm that has not reduced in size for nearly two weeks, along with persistent tiredness, night sweats, and a chronic cough, should not be ignored and needs medical evaluation. Lumps in this area are often enlarged lymph nodes, which can occur due to infection, inflammation, or sometimes more serious causes such as tuberculosis or other systemic illnesses. Because the lump is firm, non-movable, and persistent, this makes it more concerning than a simple reactive node and it should be checked promptly by a doctor. You should see a physician as soon as possible for a physical exam and tests like blood work, chest X-ray, or ultrasound/biopsy if needed to determine the cause. In summary, this is not something to watch at home — timely medical assessment is important to rule out infection or other underlying conditions and ensure proper treatment.

Hello so it’s a painless, hard, fixed lump under your collarbone (2.5 cm) that’s been there for 2 weeks without changing size, along with a persistent cough, night sweats, and constant tiredness.

A painless, fixed lump in this location combined with cough, night sweats, and fatigue could suggest a few possibilities—some benign (like an enlarged lymph node from an infection), and some that need more urgent evaluation. The fact that it’s fixed (doesn’t move) is important and suggests it might be attached to deeper structures.

This needs proper medical evaluation soon—ideally within the next few days. You’ll likely need: - Physical examination by a doctor - Possibly imaging (ultrasound or CT scan of the chest/neck area) - Blood tests if needed

In the meantime: - Don’t ignore this—get it checked - Note any other changes (lump getting bigger, pain developing, worsening cough, more sweating)

One more question before we wrap up: Have you had any recent infections, fever, or illness in the past month or so that might have triggered swollen lymph nodes?

Thank you

A hard, fixed lump under the collarbone that hasn’t reduced after 1–2 weeks, plus night sweats and ongoing tiredness, should be checked urgently — especially because lymph nodes in this area that are large (>2 cm), non-moving, or persistent need medical evaluation. It may still be from infection, but doctors must rule out conditions like chronic infection, lymphoma, or lung/chest problems (particularly with a smoking history and cough).

Please see a doctor within a few days — ideally an Otolaryngology (ENT specialist) or Hematology specialist — for examination and tests such as ultrasound, blood tests, or chest imaging.

Go to urgent care immediately if it grows quickly, you develop fever, breathing trouble, significant weight loss, or worsening cough.
