Dr. Meena Choudhary
Experience: | 14 years |
Education: | Acharya Shri Chander University of Health Sciences |
Academic degree: | MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) |
Area of specialization: | I am a medical doctor with MBBS and also hold a PG Diploma in Child Health along with a Diploma in Child Psychology. My training help me look at child care in a complete way, not only the physical part but also the mental and behavioral side. In my work I manage all kinds of pediatric OPD cases, growth monitoring, nutrition guidance and vaccination schedules. At the same time I also focus on behavioral issues, emotional health, sleep patterns and the stress that children or families may face.
Having both child health and psychology background let me approach problems with a wider lens, like a kid coming with repeated stomach pain that may be medical or sometimes stress linked, and I try to address both angles. I am comfortable handling acute illness like fevers, infections, asthma or allergies and also long term conditions like nutritional deficiency or developmental delays.
Preventive medicine and parent counseling form a big part of my practice too. I make sure to educate families about healthy routines, timely checkups, and simple strategies that can improve a child’s overall wellbeing. Working with parents closely is something I value since it creates trust and better outcomes for the child.
My role is to provide evidence based, compassionate care with a focus on long term wellness, guiding families through both medical and psychological aspects of child development. |
Achievements: | I am combining my medical training with child psychology skills to give care that is not only accurate but also more humane and family oriented. Over years of practice I learnt that early intervention and preventive steps matter a lot, whether it is nutrition, growth checks or behavioral guidance. I try to look at both health and emotions together, making sure kids get support that fits their stage of development, and parents feel guided in the process too, that balance is my main achievemnt. |
I am Dr. Meena Choudhary, a pediatrician with MBBS, a PG Diploma in Child Health and another in Child Psychology, working in this field since 2017. Over the years I got chance to handle all kinds of pediatric OPD cases, from the most routine coughs, colds to critical emergencies where timely decisions matter. That mix of experience made me more grounded and practical in dealing with children and their families, not just treating illness but supporting their growth and long-term well being. During my practice I learnt that child health isn’t only about physical growth or vaccination schedules, it’s also about behaviour, emotions, how they develop at school age, how parents cope. That’s why I combined child health with psychology – to give complete, family-centered care. I keep a strong focus on monitoring growth, development and nutrition, while also guiding families through preventive health checks, vaccination plans and day-to-day doubts about milestones. Parents often seek second opinions when worried about subtle issues, and I try to explain in simple words what’s going on, helping them feel more confident. My training in child psychology helps me address problems like behavioural changes, sleep disturbances, stress or anxiety in children. I also spend time on parent counseling and health education because I feel one well-informed family can prevent many health issues before they grow. Whether it’s counselling for picky eating, screen-time, or handling temper tantrums, I try to offer both medical guidance and psychological support in a balanced way. In my 7+ years of practice, I learnt the value of preventive medicine – regular checkups, health education, lifestyle advice – along with being prepared for emergencies. Every consultation for me is not just about diagnosis, but about building trust with the child and the family. My approach is evidence-based yet compassionate, making sure treatment plans are safe, effective and tailored for each child’s needs. At the end, I see myself as a partner to parents in raising healthier, happier children, guiding them through every stage with a mix of clinical care and emotional understanding.
