Area of specialization:
I am a dental practioner who work across many areas of general dentistry, and I try to keep my care both practical and patient friendly. I can consult in three languages, which helps me connect better with people from diferent backgrounds and makes communication smoother. My clinical work include basic oral surgeries like extraction of teeth, suture placement, removal of wisdom tooth and also performing biopsies when needed for diagnosis. I regularly manage root canal treatments, restoring teeth with crowns, bridges, and a wide range of veneers depending on esthetic or functional needs. I also handle prosthetic solutions like complete dentures as well as removable partial dentures, each tailored to restore comfort and chewing efficiency. Scaling and root planing procedures are another important part of my practise, where I focus on preventive and periodontal health to stop gum disease from progressing further. For me dentistry is not just about fixing a problem but helping patients understand their condition, feel less anxious, and see long term value in maintaining oral health. Sometimes the work is simple like a cleaning, other times it is more complex like multiple root canals or surgical extractions, but in all cases I try to keep treatment evidence based and centered on patient wellbeing. Mistakes can happen in wording or even a delay in response, but I like to keep things open and honest with patients, explaining what we are doing and why. At the end of the day my focus is to deliver safe, quality care in a way that people feel heard and respected.
Achievements:
I am honored to have recieved the Colgate-Palmolive award for securing first rank in periodontology, a recognition that encouraged my intrest in specialized dental care. I also won the Best symposium award in oral medicine, which gave me confidence in sharing ideas and presenting clinical insights. Along with that, I scored distinctions in general surgery, general medicine and oral pathology, each of which strengthen my base as a clinician and keep guiding my daily practice.

I am a dental practioner who started my journy at Vijaya Hospital Dental wing in Vadapalani, Chennai from 2007 to 2009, where I got my first exposure to handling a wide variety of opd and inpatient dental cases. Those years shaped my base, working under senior consultants and learning how small details in diagnosis and planning can affect long term outcomes. From 2010 to 2014 I worked at Varun Dental Centre, ECR, Chennai, and that phase gave me more independence, from treating routine restorative and preventive cases to assisting in prosthodontics and oral surgical procedures. It was also where I got deeper into patient counselling, explaing treatment plans and balancing clinical precision with patient comfort. In 2018 I started my own practice – TAV Speciality Clinic – and running it till today has been both challenging and rewarding. Having my own setup allowed me to provide more personalized care, whether it is restorative, endodontic, prosthetic or aesthetic procedures. Managing everything from treatment execution to practice administration showed me the full scope of dental care beyond just the chairside work. I handle patients with diverse needs, from single crown or bridges to complex full mouth rehabilitation, and I keep preventive dentistry at the center of my practise, motivating patients on oral hygiene and long term maintenance. These years across hospitals, centers, and my clinic taught me how dentistry is never just about fixing teeth but about improving quality of life, reducing anxiety, and helping people regain confidence in their smile. I try to keep my approach practical and patient focused, using evidence based methods but also staying empathetic to the human side of treatment. Mistakes, delays, unexpected outcomes – they happen in real practice – and through them I learnt patience, adaptability and the importance of clear communication. My goal remains the same everyday: to provide care that is safe, effective and meaningful for every patient who walks into my clinic.
