doctor for liver - #11220
I am really unsure about where to go from here. For the past few months, I’ve been dealing with this constant fatigue and feeling like my body is just out of whack. After a series of tests, my doctor told me I might need to see a specialist, like a doctor for liver issues, but I don't even know what that means! I mean, I’ve been having weird pains in my side and sometimes my stomach gets all bloated for no reason. It’s been frustrating, to say the least. I did some blood work and the results showed elevated liver enzymes, which totally freaked me out! My regular doctor said I should see a doctor for liver conditions but didn’t really elaborate—just sent a referral. What kind of things should I expect when I finally see this doctor for liver problems? Is there something specific I need to ask them? It’s honestly overwhelming because I feel like I have no control over what’s happening to my body. Is there a way to prepare for this appointment with the doctor for liver concerns? Would lifestyle changes help? I’m really hoping this isn’t something serious, but isn’t any elevated enzyme a sign of trouble? Sorry for rambling! Just trying to figure out how to take the next steps. Any advice would really help!
