Doctors' responses

Hello,

Two 1-cm, mobile, soft–firm lumps on the arms for 3 months with normal skin and minimal pain are most likely benign, such as: Lipomas (fat lumps) -most common Small cysts Fibromas These lumps are not typical of cancer, which is usually hard, fixed, and fast-growing.

🛑See a doctor only if the lumps grow quickly, become fixed/hard, get painful, or become >3–4 cm. 🛑For now, they seem low-risk; an exam or ultrasound can confirm.

I trust this helps Feel free to talk Thank you

Based on what you’re describing, these lumps could be benign conditions such as lipomas, epidermoid cysts, or lymph nodes. Lipomas are soft, fatty lumps that usually move easily under the skin and aren’t typically painful unless pressed. Epidermoid cysts can feel firm, and while not typically painful they might cause discomfort if inflamed or if pressure is applied. Swollen lymph nodes, which can appear due to infections or other conditions, are another possibility. Since they’ve been present for three months without significant changes, they might not be immediately concerning. However, if there’s any history of skin cancer or other risk factors, it’s essential to have these evaluated. An important step is to see a healthcare provider who can assess them through a physical examination. They might consider imaging studies like ultrasound if necessary. Avoid pressing or manipulating the lumps frequently as this could lead to unnecessary irritation or increase the risk of infection if there’s a cyst involved. Watch for changes — such as rapid growth, color change, persistent pain, or overlying skin alterations — as these can be red flags that warrant immediate medical evaluation. Based on the diagnosis, your doctor can suggest treatment, which might range from simple monitoring to surgical removal. Keep it practical, note any other new symptoms you observe, and communicate these with your provider. Your overall health, including lifestyle and medical history, can guide further investigations. Avoid over-the-counter creams or ointments unless they’ve been advised by a healthcare professional, as inappropriate applications may complicate the condition.

The forearm one is 1cm big,the skin on top looks normal, you actually vant see it only if there is dark light you can kinda see a bump, if you go through it with a hand you can quite well notice it,sometimes its firm to hard sometimes its soft, if i push it i kinda get a stabbing feeling or if i wear tight clothing, when i straighten my arm its much more noticeable when i un straighten it the fat covers it and its barely noticeable

Your lumps sound benign, most likely lipomas or small cysts, and not dangerous. An ultrasound can confirm it, but your symptoms do not suggest anything serious.

Hello Brand By going through your history and evaluation of your health status I must say that Based on what you’ve shared so far, these lumps sound most likely to be benign (non-cancerous) growths, such as lipomas (soft, fatty lumps) or small cysts. The fact that they’re soft to firm, mobile, painless unless pressed, unchanged in size, and the skin looks normal are all reassuring signs. Lipomas and cysts are quite common and usually harmless, especially if they don’t grow or cause significant pain.

Rx - I’ll advise you to watch over it and if size increase or you found some changes then go for a surgical procedure . is there any fever or redness related to it ?

Thank you

Ok Brand It seems lipoma. Nothing to Worry about it. If it’s size increase or pain persist then I must say that you should go for a surgical procedure. Visit nearby surgeon.

Thank you
