tips for glowing face - #20948

Sia

I am kinda freaking out about my skin lately. I mean, I used to have this glowing face that everyone complimented, but now? Not so much. I’ve switched up my skin care routine, but I feel like I’m missing some essential tips for glowing face. Last week I tried this new cleanser and ended up with like super dry patches, which makes my skin look even duller. And my friends keep saying, "Just drink more water!" but honestly, I drink a ton already!!! I've even tried eating more fruits and veggies but the glowing face still feels sooo far away. I noticed that when I stress out (which is like every day these days), my skin gets worse. I don’t even know if it’s hormones or what, but I just wanna know what are the best tips for glowing face? Like, is there a magic product or a secret routine I can do? Do I need to exfoliate more or change my diet even more? I’m also scared of trying too many different products. Any advice would be super helpful, I just wanna feel good in my skin again and get that glowing face back! Thanks in advance!

Achieving a glowing complexion involves a combination of factors, and given what you’ve already tried, it’s key to focus on a few evidence-based approaches. Firstly, addressing the potential dryness caused by your new cleanser: consider switching to a more hydrating one, preferably a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser that maintains the skin’s natural oils. Moisturizing immediately after cleansing with a suitable moisturizer containing hyaluronic acid or ceramides can also help to replenish lost moisture and improve skin barrier function. Exfoliation can indeed enhance your skin’s glow, but it should be done carefully. Opt for a mild chemical exfoliant like a BHA (beta hydroxy acid) or AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) once or twice a week, instead of abrasive physical scrubs which could irritate your skin further. Since hormonal changes and stress are the common culprits for skin issues, managing stress through relaxation techniques such as mindfulness or yoga can have a positive effect on your skin’s health. Ensuring you’re getting enough sleep is also critical because the body repairs itself, including the skin, during sleep. Even though you’re consuming plenty of water, which is great, maintaining a balanced diet is just as crucial: focusing on omega-3-rich foods like salmon, chia seeds, and walnuts can support skin health from the inside. It’s good that you are cautious about mixing too many products—keeping your skincare routine simple yet consistent is often more effective. If despite these efforts you’re not seeing improvements, or if your skin condition worsens, consider consulting a dermatologist who can evaluate for underlying issues such as hormonal imbalances or specific dermatological conditions. Remember, glowing skin often reflects a balance of internal health and external care, without resorting to a multitude of products.
