Doctors’ responses

To address pimples and dandruff effectively, it’s important to focus on both skincare and hair care routines while considering any underlying conditions that could be contributing to your symptoms. For the oily skin and acne, start with a gentle facial cleanser containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, used twice a day, to help unclog pores and reduce oiliness. Avoid scrubbing too hard as it might worsen irritation. Using a non-comedogenic moisturizer can help balance the skin’s oiliness without clogging pores. For acne on the scalp, opt for a shampoo with ketoconazole, salicylic acid, or zinc pyrithione, which are effective against dandruff and can help with scalp acne. If your hair is dry and rough, consider a conditioner that contains moisturizing ingredients like argan oil or shea butter, but focus this only on the hair tips. Limit hair washes to a few times a week to maintain natural oils, avoiding hot water that can strip these oils away.

For dark circles, ensure you’re getting adequate sleep and consider using an eye cream with caffeine or vitamin K, which may help reduce puffiness and discoloration. As for the red rashes, these could be atopic dermatitis or an allergic reaction; it’s worth monitoring for any triggers and using a fragrance-free moisturizer to soothe the skin. Hydrocortisone cream may reduce inflammation but consult a healthcare provider if rashes persist or worsen. Heavy hair fall paired with dandruff might indicate a more persistent condition like seborrheic dermatitis or psoriasis, so it would be advisable to consult a dermatologist for a tailored treatment plan. Keep a balanced diet rich in vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids, which can improve skin and hair health. Adjust lifestyle factors such as stress and diet, which can significantly affect skin conditions.
