medicine for intestinal infection - #19222
I am really worried about my health right now. A few weeks ago, I started feeling really nauseous, and my stomach hurt all the time. I thought it was just something I ate but then I began having frequent bathroom trips, like it was non stop! After a couple of days, I decided to see a doctor who told me I might have an intestinal infection. They ran some tests and said it looks like some bacteria was causing issues. I can't remember the name they mentioned, but they said I should look out for signs of dehydration. I'm kinda freaking out because I just want to know what’s the best medicine for intestinal infection? I mean, the doc prescribed me something, but it was hard to understand him in the office, and I'm thinking maybe I need a second opinion or different insight? Like, are antibiotics the go-to medicine for intestinal infection, or are there other options too? Plus, I’ve been hearing mixed things about probiotics—do they really help with recovery or what? I can’t help but feel a bit lost, honestly. The discomfort just doesn’t seem to go away, and I feel like if I can’t get the right medicine for intestinal infection quick, this could drag on. Anyone have any experiences or recommendations? I'm just desperate to feel normal again.
