Doctors’ responses

Considering the symptoms you’ve described—internal vibrations and palpitations—it is essential to follow the guidance of your healthcare provider, especially as they have started you on clonazepam and ciplar (propranolol). Clonazepam is commonly used for anxiety, as it can help ease nervous tension and reduce palpitations linked to anxiety. Ciplar, a beta-blocker, is often prescribed to control heart rate and mitigate symptoms like palpitations. When deciding whether to continue or stop these medications, it is critical to consult your prescribing doctor. They will evaluate the effectiveness, side effects, and need for a longer-term plan based on your current condition. Stopping medications like clonazepam abruptly can cause withdrawal symptoms and may exacerbate anxiety, so any change in dosage should be under medical supervision. Similarly, abrupt cessation of beta-blockers can potentially lead to rebound effects, such as increased heart rate or blood pressure. Moreover, further investigation into the root cause of these symptoms—whether anxiety-related or possibly neuropathic—could guide more appropriate management. If you haven’t done testing for underlying causes, maybe discuss with your doctor about potential investigations like blood tests, or neurological evaluations. It can be helpful to monitor your symptoms—note any triggers or time patterns—an share that information with your doctor during consultations. This comprehensive data assists in refining the treatment plan tailored to your physiological needs and lifestyle.
