Since your skin is oily and acne-prone, recurring acne even after using benzoyl peroxide suggests deep pore clogging and inflammation that needs a balanced long-term routine. Yes, niacinamide (for oil control and healing) and salicylic acid (for deep pore cleansing) can work very well together. Use a salicylic acid face wash twice daily and apply niacinamide 10% serum in the morning with benzoyl peroxide 2.5% at night, and consult a dermatologist if breakouts persist for oral treatment options.
Hello dear Please be aware See reoccurrence can be due to incomplete elemination or continuous irritation I suggest you to please consult general physician for better clarification Regards
Recurrence of acne, particularly on the forehead, can be quite frustrating. Given that you have oily skin and have tried benzoyl peroxide, it’s clear you’re already taking steps to manage it. However, persistent acne often requires a multi-faceted approach. To help control this issue, let’s consider a few components. First, regular cleansing with a gentle, non-comedogenic cleanser can help manage oil production without excessively drying out the skin. Adding salicylic acid to your skincare routine could potentially be very effective because it helps exfoliate the skin, keeping pores clear by removing dead skin cells, which can block pores. A product with 1-2% salicylic acid concentration, used consistently, may help reduce undying acne formation. Niacinamide can also complement your routine as it has anti-inflammatory properties and can help regulate oil production while improving skin barrier function. It’s generally well tolerated and can be used alongside salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Be cautious and introduce new products gradually to track their effects and avoid irritation. Avoid the temptation to overuse products as this might worsen the problem instead. Maintaining a balanced diet with an emphasis on low-glycemic foods and without excessive dairy has also been shown to contribute positively to acne management for some individuals. Lastly, if your acne persists despite these measures, consider consulting a dermatologist. A professional can offer prescriptions for topical retinoids or oral medications that may provide more significant relief. Remember that consistent treatment and perhaps professional intervention remains key to tackling recurrent acne effectively.
