Doctors’ responses
If your periods haven’t started even after 7 days of completing Regestrone, it may mean your body didn’t respond to the hormone as expected. This can happen due to hormonal imbalance, stress, PCOS, or other reasons. It’s best to follow up with your doctor for a scan or blood tests to find the exact cause and guide the next steps.
Hello sneha Your period delay might be Hormonal imbalance, such as:
PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome)
High prolactin
Thyroid disorder
Low estrogen (leading to thin endometrial lining)
Body stress, weight changes, poor sleep, recent illness
Advise Pelvic ultrasound (check uterus and ovaries)
Blood tests:
TSH (thyroid) Prolactin LH, FSH Estrogen PCOS screening
Brisk walking or jogging
Yoga (especially for PCOS and period pain) – poses like Malasana, Bhujangasana, Baddha Konasana
Strength training (light bodyweight or dumbbells)
Kindly wait for 10-14 days post regesterone tablet Take ashokarisht 2 tsp in lukewarm water at night Kindly visit gynecologist for trst
Hello dear Please follow below instructions I think either there is some hormonal disturbance or pcos development chances Kindly consult with gynacolologist for further details Regards
When your period is delayed, especially after taking a course of regesterone, it’s natural to wonder what’s going on. Regesterone is a progesterone medication often prescribed to help induce a period when it’s delayed. In many cases, after completing the medication, a withdrawal bleed should occur within a week. If you’ve waited more than a week after finishing the regesterone and your period hasn’t started, there could be a few reasons for this delay. First, make sure that a pregnancy test is negative if applicable, as though it’s a simple step, it can rule out one possible reason for amenorrhea (missed periods). Stress, significant changes in weight, or excessive exercise can also contribute to delayed or missed periods. The menstrual cycle is sensitive to these lifestyle factors, which might disrupt its usual pattern. Thyroid imbalances or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) are other medical conditions that can cause menstrual irregularities. It might be worthwhile to check for symptoms related to these conditions or discuss with your healthcare provider if they suspect such issues. If this situation continues, revisiting your doctor for further investigation might be needed. They may recommend blood tests, ultrasounds, or other diagnostic procedures to get to the root of the issue. Another test it might be wise to consider is measuring serum hormone levels, including thyroid function tests, to ensure everything is in balance. These approaches can help pinpoint whether a more complex hormonal imbalance or another health issue is at play. Until then, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, with a balanced diet and regular physical activity, can support your menstrual health. If at any point you experience symptoms like severe pain or heavy bleeding once your period begins, it would be important to seek medical attention promptly.
