With oily skin leading to acne and concurrent hair loss, there are some things to consider tackling these concerns effectively. For acne, with oily skin, a good starting place is using a gentle cleanser containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide; these help to clear out excess oil and reduce acne. You could also try a non-comedogenic moisturizer, which won’t clog your pores, helping to maintain moisture without the heaviness. If sunscreens are feeling heavy, opt for oil-free or gel-based formulas which are lighter on oily skin. Avoiding heavy creams and sticking to one product with fewer ingredients helps avoid worsening the breakout. A dermatological consultation might be necessary if over-the-counter options don’t improve your condition. Regarding hair fall, it’s important to ensure that your diet includes enough proteins, vitamins, particularly minerals that support hair health like iron and zinc. Gentle handling of your hair while washing, avoiding excessive heat from styling tools, and keeping stress under control can prevent exacerbation. Understanding the root cause through a medical check-up may reveal deficiencies or underlying issues like thyroid imbalances or androgenetic factors. If hair fall persists significantly or seems unusual, it is wise to seek a healthcare professional for tailored blood tests or treatments like minoxidil or prescription medication. Exploring potential hormonal imbalances or nutrient deficiencies would provide a comprehensive assessment and more robust solutions. Filling gaps in care with lifestyle adjustments is essential but keep monitoring any persistent symptoms or worsening for timely professional intervention.
