If you haven’t had intercourse in the past 8 months, there is no chance of pregnancy. Irregular or absent periods are common in PCOD, especially if cycles are not medically regulated. Please consult a gynecologist for proper evaluation and treatment.
It seems you’re dealing with PCOD (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), which often results in irregular menstrual cycles. Since you haven’t had intercourse in the past eight months, the likelihood of pregnancy is exceptionally low, so that should not be a concern here. PCOD often leads to hormonal imbalances that disrupt regular menstrual cycles, and irregular periods are a common symptom. While Deviry (a form of medroxyprogesterone) can induce a period, it doesn’t address the underlying hormonal imbalance. To manage PCOD and improve your menstrual cycle regularity, lifestyle changes such as maintaining a healthy weight, engaging in regular physical activity, and following a balanced diet low in refined sugars and carbohydrates might be helpful. This approach can improve your body’s insulin levels and help regulate menstruation. However, if irregular periods persist, it might be beneficial to consult with a healthcare provider or a gynecologist who can evaluate your hormonal levels through blood tests and possibly recommend other medications or treatments, such as oral contraceptives or metformin, which can help stabilize your cycle. Be sure to monitor symptoms or any changes that might indicate other health issues, and regular follow-ups with a healthcare provider can ensure that any broader implications of PCOD are addressed timely and properly.
