Addressing hair loss can be multifaceted, but it’s great that you’ve taken the first step by considering potential causes and remedies. Hair fall could indeed be a reflection of underlying health issues, nutritional deficits, or even environmental factors. While homemade oils and rosemary water can provide some benefits, they may not address deeper systemic causes. If you suspect nutritional deficiencies, such as low iron or vitamins, a blood test could be insightful. Iron, vitamin D, and B-vitamins like biotin play essential roles in hair health. Before reaching for supplements, it’s worth discussing testing options with a healthcare provider to confirm any deficiencies and tailor appropriate supplementation. Beyond nutrition, ensure you’re managing stress levels, as stress can contribute to hair loss. Consider assessing your diet for a balanced intake of protein, fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats–which support hair health. Switch to a gentle shampoo and avoid overly hot water to minimize damage, as well as minimizing the use of heat-styling tools to prevent breakage. If hair thinning continues despite these steps, consulting a dermatologist or trichologist would be wise to explore other causes such as hormonal changes or genetic factors. They can offer treatments like minoxidil or other therapies suited to your condition. Weather can indeed affect hair health by causing dryness and breakage, especially when transitioning into drier seasons–considering using a humidifier during winter months. If after making these adjustments hair fall persists or worsens, follow up with medical professional to rule out more serious underlying conditions like thyroid issues or androgenetic alopecia.
