Hello dear See as per my clinical experience you can stop the above mentioned medications and follow below medications for 2 months. I hope that will bring mild to moderate improvement in reduction of your acne 1. Topical Treatments -Benzoyl Peroxide (2.5–5%) Kills bacteria and is anti-inflammatory in action. Salicylic Acid, Adapalene 0.1% can also be given as additive medications. 2.Clindamycin 1% Clindac A ,Tretinoin ( if already not taken). 3.Azelaic Acid 10 percent for two weeks. 4. Oral Medications -tablet Doxycycline 1 month twice for 1 week Niacinamide serum –antiinflammatory in nature In addition use aloevera - tulsi solution to apply topically for 1 month
In case of no improvement in 1 month, kindly consult dermatologist for better clarification Regards
As vishkaha you have hormonal issues until they are resolved these outbreak will keep happening I would suggest to visit endocrinologist for proper treatment Till then do these lifestyle change and continue your current product
Cut down dairy, sugar, refined carbs, oily junk (all worsen hormonal acne).
Add zinc, omega-3 (flaxseed, walnuts, fish), green veggies.
Manage stress + sleep (stress raises cortisol - worsens acne).
Exercise regularly (improves insulin sensitivity & hormone balance).
Hormonal acne over an extended period can be frustrating, but there are several evidence-based strategies to manage it effectively. Given that you’ve already consulted a dermatologist, it’s crucial to assess if the prescribed medications were taken as directed for a sufficient duration, as treatments like oral or topical retinoids, antibiotics, or hormonal therapies often require time to show significant effects. Regarding the new products you’re using, the Dermaco facewash might help maintain skin cleanliness and remove excess oil, but it’s essential to ensure it’s formulated for acne-prone skin and doesn’t overly dry out or irritate your skin, which can sometimes worsen acne. The Zetcare capsules you’re considering may help if they contain elements like zinc, which has been shown to reduce inflammation in some acne cases. However, over-the-counter supplements should be approached cautiously and discussed with a healthcare provider beforehand to avoid interactions with any existing medications or health conditions. Additionally, incorporating lifestyle measures, such as a balanced diet and stress management, might aid in overall skin health. If your current regimen isn’t effective, a follow-up with your dermatologist is advisable to reassess and possibly adjust your treatment plan, or explore options like chemical peels or light-based therapies, which might be better suited to your condition’s specifics. Persisting acne may require a more tailored approach, so ongoing medical guidance is essential.
