Serum niacinamide at night
Hello dear I think that is due to prolonged exposure to sun Iam suggesting some medications and precautions for improvement Please take them for atleast 1 month Spf -30 apply it topically twice a day for 1 month Aquaphor moisturizer twice a day for 1 month Alovera- tulsi gel combination topically twice a day for 15 days Avoid direct exposure to sun In case of no improvement in 1 month, consult dermatologist for further details Hopefully you recover soon Regards
1. Gradual skin darkening can happen from sun exposure, hormonal changes, or stopping skincare like Vitamin C.
2. Restarting Vitamin C serum or using a mild antioxidant cream may help.
3. Use a gentle, pH-balanced soap (like Cetaphil, Sebamed, or mild baby soaps).
4. Daily sunscreen is very important to prevent further darkening.
5. If darkening continues, get checked for vitamin deficiencies or thyroid issues.

Skin darkening can happen for various reasons, and it’s important to consider potential causes. Factors like sun exposure, hormonal changes, medications, or an underlying skin condition can affect skin tone. If you have recently stopped using a vitamin C serum, it’s possible that it was helping to maintain your skin tone, but its absence wouldn’t typically cause darkening unless sun protection also decreased. Make sure you’re using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 every day — even if indoors — to guard against further darkening from UV rays. When it comes to soap, choosing one that’s gentle and non-irritating is key. Look for soaps labeled “fragrance-free” or “non-comedogenic,” as these are less likely to cause reactions or clog pores. A mild cleanser like Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser can be a good option, as it’s designed for all skin types, including normal and combination skin. Regularly using a moisturizer can help maintain skin health; non-greasy options for combination skin, such as Neutrogena Hydro Boost, can offer hydration without making skin greasy. To further assess what’s causing the change, you might want to visit a dermatologist; certain conditions, like melasma, or even deficiencies, and metabolic issues, can produce changes that need targeted treatments. If your skin changes are rapid, associated with other symptoms, or there’s a concern for a serious condition, seek medical evaluation sooner; this ensures anything requiring urgent attention is appropriately managed.
