How to reduce hairfall, receeding hairline at a young age? - #11475
So Im a teen, at age of 15, I'm seeing hairfall, and even though most of the hairs are long as my hair are also long, but I'm also seeing many short hair or you can baby hairs, when i googled it, it told that it is a concern and i should see a doctor immediately, my family dont believe in all this, they say that just apply oil and everything will be fine, and surely i do apply coconut oil and my hair serum but when i bath i get scared to see many hairs on my hand and some baby hairs as well. Please help as quickly as possible.

Doctors’ responses
1. At age 15, some amount of hair fall and baby hairs are normal as your body is still going through hormonal changes.
2. Stress, poor sleep, dandruff, or nutritional gaps (iron, vitamin D, protein) can make hair fall worse.
3. Oiling alone will not stop hair fall; you need a balanced diet rich in green vegetables, eggs, pulses, nuts, and adequate water.
4. Use a mild shampoo 2–3 times a week, avoid harsh chemicals/heat styling, and continue gentle scalp massage with coconut oil.
5. If hair fall is rapidly increasing or you see visible bald patches/receding hairline, consult a dermatologist to rule out conditions like early alopecia or thyroid issues.
I really appreciate your answer very much sir. Thank you, but i also it think it might due to the reason that i have a really hairy body than my other friends, and due to the high testosterone, the hairfall might be due to DHT?
At 15, some hair fall is normal due to hormones. More body hair doesn’t mean abnormal DHT hair loss. Maintain healthy diet and gentle care, see a dermatologist only if bald patches or rapid thinning appear.
