I am a doctor with 5 years total experience, mostly split between Emergency and Obstetrics & Gynaecology—and honestly both keep you on your toes in totally different ways. In the ER, you don’t get time to second-guess much. Things come at you fast—trauma, active bleeding, breathlessness, collapsed vitals—and you learn to think, act, then think again. But in Obs/Gyn, it’s more layered. One moment you’re handling routine antenatal care, the next you're managing obstructed labour at 3am with everything depending on timing. I try not to treat anyone like "just another case." I take proper history—like actual, detailed listening—and then move step by step. Exam, investigations only if needed (not just because), and explaining things clearly to the patient and attenders. Not gonna lie, sometimes I do repeat myself twice or thrice. People are stressed, they don’t hear it all the first time. Communication I’d say is one of my stronger areas, but not in some fancy textbook way. Just knowing *how* to talk, when to pause, when not to overload info. Like with a first-time mother in pain who doesn’t care about medical terms—she just wants to know if her baby’s okay. Those moments taught me more about medicine than most of my exams. I handle postpartum issues, early pregnancy complications, PCOD, menstrual complaints, emergency contraception consults too—bit of everything. And in casualty shifts, I’ve done everything from inserting Ryle’s tubes to managing hypertensive crises. You have to stay sharp. But also know when to slow down and re-evalutate something that doesn’t fit right. Counselling’s part of the job too. Sometimes patients need reassurance more than a prescription. Sometimes they just need honesty, even if the answer isn't simple. I don’t pretend to have all the answers, but I do care enough to find them. Bit by bit. Every single day.

Hello dear, Its amazing that all your reports are normal.

For conception, follow these basic things. 1. Get a balanced diet. 2. Proper sleep and reduce stress. 3. Keep a check on the OVULATION days, mark on the calendar and engage in unprotected intercourse 2 days before & 2 days later. 4. You can also consider options like IUI or IVF for better results.

The most important part is to STAY POSITIVE, have PATIENCE and FAITH in God for the results.

All the best !

When dealing with unexplained infertility, especially after many tests show normal results, it can be perplexing. In such cases, becaming pregnant may need a combination of approaches rather than a single medication. Clomiphene citrate is a common starting medication for helping women ovulate, often when ovulation isn’t happening regularly, to increase the chances of pregnancy. Generally, it is taken orally for five days early in your cycle. With it, some doctors suggest timed intercourse, where you try to conceive during your most fertile window, or sometimes intrauterine insemination (IUI). Another option might be letrozole, which works similarly in stimulating ovulation. However, any medication should only be used under the guidance of a qualified healthcare provider. Though it can be tempting to try supplements like folic acid— which is crucial before and during early pregnancy to help in fetal development—other herbal supplements lack strong evidence of effectiveness and can sometimes interfere with prescribed treatments. Lifestyle considerations like maintaining a healthy weight, reducing stress, and avoiding smoking and alcohol can also positively influence fertility. It’s commonly useful to discuss with your doctor about the potential need for assisted reproductive technologies like in-vitro fertilization (IVF), particularly if medication alone isn’t successful over time. Each couple’s journey is unique, so it’s essential to follow a plan that fits your specific situation under medical guidance.
