Dr. Perambalur Ayyadurai Rohith
I am a general physician with more than 10 yr of clinical experiance, and in this time I worked with patients from all age groups, from young kids to elderly with multiple chronic issues. My practice has been wide, but I gradually developed deeper intrest in diabetology. I spend much of my day focusing on prevention, early diagnosis and management of diabetes, using lifestyle modification, medical therapy and regular monitoring. Many patients come worried about complications, and I try to explain things in simple language, whether it is diet, excercise, or understanding lab reports, so they dont feel lost. I also conduct detailed diagnostic evaluation and use evidence based protocols to make sure treatment is reliable and updated, even if sometimes I double check myself when results dont match the clinical picture. Apart from regular OPD practice, I gained strong experiance in occupational health. Over years I worked with multiple companies handling pre employment checks, annual medical exams, workplace wellness programs, and ensuring compliance with industrial health and safety standards. It is diffrent from hospital practice, but equally important, because healthy workers mean safe and productive workplace. I run medical surveillance programs and health awareness sessions in collaboration with corporates, and this also gave me exposure to preventive strategies on a large scale. For me, patient care is not just treatment but building trust. My career revolve around preventive medicine, ethical clinical practice, and continuous learning. I keep myself updated with modern medical protocols, but I also value listening to patient worries, since medicine is not only about lab values but also about how a person feels in daily life. I make mistakes in words sometimes, but in my work I try to be very precise. At end of day, my aim is to provide care that is accessible, evidence based and truly centered on patient well being.

1. Hair thinning with itchy scalp can be due to nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalance, dandruff, or gut-related issues like IBS affecting absorption.

2. Get your blood tests for iron, vitamin D, vitamin B12, and thyroid checked as deficiencies commonly cause hair fall.

3. Use a mild anti-dandruff or medicated shampoo twice a week and avoid frequent use of harsh shampoos or oils that clog pores.

4. Include a protein-rich diet with eggs, pulses, nuts, leafy greens, and add supplements like biotin, zinc, and omega-3 if advised by your doctor.

5. Practice stress management, proper sleep, and gentle scalp massage to improve blood circulation.

6. For forehead acne, avoid oily hair products touching your skin and wash your face with a gentle cleanser twice daily.

Hairfall can be frustrating and it seems like you’re dealing with a combination of issues. To address low porosity hair thinning, focus on maintaining a healthy scalp. This may involve gentle cleansing with a sulfate-free shampoo to avoid stripping oils while massaging the scalp to increase blood circulation. As low porosity hair resists moisture absorption, use steam or heat caps to allow conditioners to penetrate deeply. Look for hair products containing ingredients like aloe vera or glycerin as they aid in moisture retention. Additionally, ensure an adequate protein intake from your diet, as hair is primarily made of protein. It might help to incorporate biotin and zinc supplements after discussing with a healthcare provider.

Keeping your scalp clean and free from excess oil might also help with your itchy scalp and possibly with the forehead acne as well. For that acne, non-comedogenic products are preferable to minimize blocking pores. Consider gentle exfoliation, but avoid harsh scrubs that could irritate the skin. A topical treatment containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid could be beneficial for targeting acne spots.

Lastly, if dandruff or a scalp condition is suspected, over-the-counter antifungal shampoos containing ketoconazole or zinc pyrithione might be effective. Since there are various underlying medical conditions that might contribute to hair thinning and acne, like hormonal imbalances or scalp infections, it’s crucial to consult a dermatologist or healthcare provider for an accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment. If over-the-counter remedies don’t improve your condition, professional evaluation and possibly prescription medication may be necessary.
