how to use apple cider vinegar for pimples and dark spots - #13449

Meera

I am really struggling with my skin lately! I’ve got these annoying pimples that just don’t seem to go away, and to top it off, I’ve got dark spots that are making me super self-conscious, ugh! A friend mentioned apple cider vinegar and said it can be a miracle worker for skin issues like mine. I’ve read some articles about how to use apple cider vinegar for pimples and dark spots, but there’s just so much info out there and it’s kinda confusing. Do I dilute it or use it straight? And how often should I apply it? Like, is once a day too much, or is that not enough? I tried it a couple of times, but my skin was a little irritated afterward, so I’m a bit worried I might making it worse instead of better! Also, can I use other products alongside it, or should I just stick to apple cider vinegar for pimples and dark spots for a while? I really wanna clear this up without making things worse! Any tips or personal experiences would really help!

Using apple cider vinegar (ACV) for skin issues is popular, but there are some important considerations to make sure it’s safe and effective for you. First, always dilute it. Full-strength ACV can be too harsh and might irritate or damage your skin. A good starting dilution is one part ACV to three or four parts water. You can increase the concentration slightly if your skin tolerates it well, but don’t make it too strong. Apply it as a toner with a cotton ball, gently dab it on the affected areas once a day, ideally at night to see how your skin reacts. If you experience irritation or dryness, try an even more diluted solution, or use it less frequently, like every other night. Follow up with a moisturizer to combat any dryness ACV might cause, as it’s quite acidic. When using ACV, it’s crucial to listen to your skin. If it feels excessively dry or irritated, it may mean that ACV is not suitable for you in its current concentration or method of application. Pairing ACV with other products can be done cautiously. Try to avoid using other potentially irritating products like retinoids or strong acids on the same days to minimize irritation risk. For dark spots, consistent sunscreen use is essential alongside such treatments to prevent further pigmentation. If your skin continues to react poorly, or if your pimples and dark spots persist or worsen, consider consulting a dermatologist. There are many effective professional treatments that might be better suited, like prescription creams or chemical peels.
