what to do to get rid of pimples

Veer

I am really frustrated with this pimple situation! I’ve tried all kinds of stuff, like different face washes and creams, but nothing seems to help. My skin was all clear until a few months ago when I started breaking out like crazy. I’ve got pimples all over my chin and some on my forehead, and they just keep popping up! I’m starting to think it might be hormonal cuz I’ve been under a lot of stress lately too. I visited a dermatologist last week, and they suggested some topical treatments, but I’m not seeing any improvements just yet. I keep wondering, what to do to get rid of pimples? I read somewhere that certain foods can make it worse, like dairy or sugar, but I don’t know where to start. I’m trying to eat healthier but sometimes it’s just so hard to stick with it, you know? And I also heard drinking water helps, but like, how much do I really need? I guess I’m just looking for any other advice about what to do to get rid of pimples that might be different from what I’ve tried already! Ugh, any tips would really help, thanks!

Addressing your pimple situation can be a bit of a puzzle, especially if you’ve tried various topical treatments without seeing the desired results. It sounds like you’re considering multiple factors that could be contributing to the breakouts, which is great as pimples can indeed have multiple causes. First, regarding the topical treatments suggested by your dermatologist, keep in mind that they can sometimes take several weeks to show noticeable improvements, so patience is key. In terms of dietary adjustments, while the link between diet and acne isn’t fully concrete, some studies suggest reducing high-glycemic foods (such as sugary snacks and beverages) and dairy might help in some cases, as both can potentially trigger breakouts in certain individuals. It could be worthwhile to keep a food diary to see if specific foods correlate with your acne flare-ups. Now, ensuring you’re adequately hydrated is also important, though there’s no universal amount that guarantees clearer skin, aiming for the typical recommendation of 8 cups a day can be a good baseline. It’s more about maintaining overall skin health and function. Aside from diet and hydration, addressing stress, which you’ve recognized as a possible factor, can also be beneficial. Stress can exacerbate acne, so exploring methods like mindfulness, meditation, or structured physical activity to reduce stress levels might support clearer skin. Lastly, while harsh or aggressive face washing might feel like a solution, it’s actually better to follow a gentle skincare routine to avoid skin irritation. Ultimately, if the situation doesn’t improve or worsens over time, following up with your dermatologist can offer additional insights or direct you towards alternate treatment options like oral medications if deemed necessary.
