Update on the hand thing (if anyone who sees this saw the last post) - #15015
Update on the hand thing: i am kinda sure the pressure is just cramping because i have the same fatigue that people usually have after working out their arms a lot in the arm muscle, the pain has disappeared almost completely but the muscle cramps sometimes usually after applying pressure to the muscle, the hand is a bit more inflated but its not that bad, my parents checked it and they said its just the muscle (it will get checked out tomorrow by the school nurse i think) also warmth helps to relieve the feeling of pressure.

sounds like you’re healing well muscle soreness and mild swelling often go away within 3–5 more days. You’re doing the right things keeping calm, monitoring symptoms, and getting it checked.
From what you describe, it sounds like you’re experiencing muscle cramping and fatigue, possibly from overuse or strain. The fact that the pain has largely subsided and is now mostly a pressure-like sensation does lend itself to a muscular cause. Warmth can indeed be relieving since it increases blood flow and relaxes the muscle, which is why it’s a positive sign that you’ve found some relief from it. However, the fact that your hand is slightly more swollen warrants attention. While muscle strain can indeed cause some local swelling, it’s essential to make sure there’s no underlying injury or more serious condition, especially if the swelling persists or worsens. It’s a good step forward that it will be checked by the school nurse tomorrow as they’ll be able to evaluate for any concerning signs such as diminished sensation, changes in skin color, or reduced function. Meanwhile, try to rest the hand as much as possible to avoid further strain; refrain from activities that exacerbate symptoms. Keep using warmth if it’s comforting, but ensure it’s not too hot to avoid burns. If any worrying signs do arise, like increasing swelling, severe pain, or discoloration, seeking medical attention sooner would be advisable. Additionally, ensure you’re staying hydrated, as dehydration can exacerbate muscle cramps. Make sure you’re not ignoring any other symptoms that might seem less related, as sometimes they can be surprisingly connected. The aim should be to rule out any issues beyond simple muscle strain.
Hello Elias By going through your history and evaluation of your health status I must say that - - Mild swelling and redness after a cut can be normal as your body heals. - The pressure feeling and temperature changes might be due to inflammation so nothing to worry about
Precautions and Adviced - - Keep the area clean—wash gently with soap and water, pat dry. - Apply a clean bandage if needed. - Apply Cold compress Nothing to worry at all … it’s normal process…you will get fine soon .
Rx - apply BNC tube ( Beclomethasone, Neomycin, and Clotrimazole cream ) on cut
Thank you

Hello Ellas,
👍That sounds like a good update. Your hand is having a normal inflammatory response to that minor injury.
🛑But,keep an eye out for warning signs
Rapidly increasing redness or swelling Pus, yellow fluid, or a bad smell The skin feeling very hot or very painful to touch Fever, chills, or feeling very unwell,Those could mean an infection is starting
Good that you will get checked by your school nurse.
🛑Keep it clean Warmth can help circulation Avoid pressing or overusing the hand now Take rest and be hydrated
Thank you Get well soon
The improving pain and the warm-relieved muscle pressure you described suggest normal muscle strain and healing around the cut, rather than a serious infection. Continue using warm compresses and gentle movement, and keep the wound clean. Please let the school nurse or a doctor check it to be sure there’s no early infection or need for a tetanus update.
