glowing skin in 2 days - #18410

Dev

I am seriously freaking out right now! A week ago, my friend was telling me about this amazing secret for glowing skin in 2 days. I started using this new cream she swore by, and now my face is kind of worse than before. I mean, I usually have decent skin, but now I have these weird bumps and it’s just off, ya know? I don’t get why this glowing skin in 2 days stuff isn’t working for me. I thought it would be easy! I used it for two days and honestly, nothing changed, but my skin kinda feels a little oily and not in a good way. Do you think my skin is reacting to the product or maybe it’s just not the right fit for me? I’m also stressed out, juggling work and family all at once, which can’t be helping. I read somewhere that even diet can impact how quickly you can achieve glowing skin in 2 days, but I don't really know about that. Like should I be eating more veggies or cutting out sugar completely? Ugh, how do I get my skin back on track or even achieve that supposed glowing skin in 2 days? What am I missing? Should I just give up or keep going with this cream?

Doctors' responses

Achieving glowing skin in two days is quite a tall order, and while certain products may promise rapid results, they often don’t suit everyone’s skin type. It sounds like your skin may be reacting to the new cream. Without knowing the ingredients, it’s possible it contains something that’s irritating your skin, causing those bumps and increased oiliness. An allergic reaction or sensitivity can often manifest as redness, bumps, or an oily texture. The first step is to stop using the product immediately to see if your skin begins to calm down. Also, consider basic skincare: keeping your skin cleansed with a gentle, non-comedogenic cleanser—this ensures you’re not adding extra oil, which is crucial if your skin’s already feeling greasy. While moisturizers are key, choose ones that are light and specifically labeled ‘non-comedogenic.’ Stress certainly can affect your skin negatively too, often exacerbating flare-ups or causing general imbalances. Simple stress-reducing techniques like a mild workout or just a peaceful walk can help. Regarding diet, it contributes more than we tend to think—increased fruits and vegetable intake can improve skin health over time due to their vitamins and antioxidants. While cutting out all sugar is extreme, moderating sugar, especially from processed sources, and caffeine might help if consumed in excess. Adequate hydration is also essential, aiming for around eight glasses of water daily. For those chasing the idea of ‘glowing skin,’ consistency often trumps everything—consistently following a skincare routine suited for your skin type alongside healthy lifestyle choices. Quick fixes are rarely sustainable and can sometimes do more harm than good. If your symptoms persist or worsen, it’s advisable to visit a dermatologist. They might be able to identify other factors at play and advise suitable treatments, possibly with a personalized routine that aligns with your skin’s specific needs.
