bleach face pack - #18890

Saanvi

I am really worry about my skin right now. Like, I’ve been using a bleach face pack for a while because my friend said it helped lighten her dark spots, but I'm not sure its working for me. At first, it felt okay, but now I’m starting to get these weird red patches on my cheeks and they kinda itch. I followed the instructions on the box and only used the bleach face pack twice a week, not more, but my skin feels sensitive lately. Has anyone else had a reaction like this from a bleach face pack? I mean, I thought it would just lighten my blemishes, not irritate my skin! I even used a moisturizer afterward to help, but still no luck. Now I’m thinking maybe it’s not worth it... Should I stop using the bleach face pack altogether, or try a different kind? I’m really confused!! I want clear skin, but I don’t wanna damage it even more. What kind of alternatives could I try instead? Help!! Any tips on soothing my skin would also be appreciated!

The red patches and itching you’re experiencing are likely signs of skin irritation or allergic reaction to the bleach face pack, which can happen due to the harsh chemicals present in these products. The skin on your face is quite sensitive, and these reactions mean your skin barrier might be compromised. It’s important to stop using the bleach face pack immediately to allow your skin to recover. There’s no point in continuing if it exacerbates the issues and could lead to more permanent damage. Switching to a different brand might not necessarily solve the problem, as many may contain similar active ingredients that are causing these reactions. To soothe your skin, you can apply a gentle moisturizer that contains soothing ingredients like aloe vera or niacinamide. These can help calm inflammation and support barrier repair without the risk of further irritation. Consider incorporating a fragrance-free, hydrating serum to help with moisture retention. Avoid any harsh or exfoliating products for now to allow your skin to heal, and make sure to use a hypoallergenic sunscreen daily to protect your skin from further irritation caused by UV rays. Additionally, if your goal is reducing dark spots, you might try products containing ingredients like vitamin C, niacinamide, or licorice root extract which are known for their skin-brightening properties and are generally less irritating than bleach. If the irritation persists or worsens, or if over-the-counter solutions provide no relief, it would be wise to consult a dermatologist. They can conduct a thorough evaluation, possibly recommend patch testing to identify specific irritants or allergens, and suggest safer, more effective treatments customized for your skin type and condition. Prioritizing the health and integrity of your skin is key, rather than relying solely on quick fixes.
