ways to keep kidney healthy - #19618

Swara

I am really worried about my kidney health lately. I've been feeling super fatigued, and I noticed some swelling in my ankles. My family has a history of kidney issues, which has got me thinking a lot about ways to keep kidney healthy. I mean, I’m trying to eat better, but sometimes, it’s hard to resist junk food, ya know? I read somewhere that drinking more water is one of the essential ways to keep kidney healthy, but I often forget to stay hydrated during the day. Just last week, I had some tests done, and my doctor said my creatinine levels were a bit high, which freaked me out! I've also been trying to cut back on salt, but sometimes I just don’t know what to do, especially when I eat out. Are there easy ways to keep kidney healthy that don’t involve drastic changes? Like, are there any specific foods I should focus on or maybe some supplements? I really want to take action before things get worse, but it’s tough to keep track of everything! Any tips would help, even if they’re small ways to keep kidney healthy that I can incorporate into my daily routine. Thanks!
