I am trying to figure out if pineapple is good for cold and cough because I've had a nasty cold for the past few days. It started with a sore throat, then turned into this annoying dry cough that just won't go away. I’ve been drinking herbal teas and staying hydrated but I'm also curious about other remedies. My friend mentioned that pineapple is good for cold and cough, and honestly, I never thought about it before! Like, does pineapple even have any actual benefits or is it just one of those old wives' tales? I looked up some stuff online and read that pineapple has bromelain, which can help with inflammation. Is that true? What about vitamin C? Hope it can help because I tried cough syrups that don’t seem to work anymore! I also have this weird feeling that the acidity might bother my throat more! Ugh, I'm so over this cold! Should I just eat fresh pineapple or blend it into juice? Or does it not really matter? Like how much pineapple should I be eating if I even go that route? Just want to know if any of you have had success with it and what you think, is pineapple good for cold and cough?
