is sabja seeds good for weight loss - #23409

Vivaan

I am trying to figure out if is sabja seeds good for weight loss, and honestly, I'm a bit confused. A few weeks ago, I started a new health routine after my doctor told me I needed to drop some pounds for my upcoming surgery. I heard a friend mention sabja seeds and how amazing they are for weight loss. So I went ahead and bought some, but I'm not sure how to use them or if they really work. Some days I add them to smoothies and other times, I just soak them in water. I guess what worries me the most is if is sabja seeds good for weight loss because I’ve seen articles saying they can help control appetite and being high in fiber which sounds promising. Then I read some comments online that say they’re overrated! It's making me second guess everything. Do they actually have any real benefits? I’ve been trying to be more active too, but I need to know if these seeds are worth it. Should I be eating them more often or just stick to other foods? Honestly, I just wanna find something that actually helps with weight loss! Any advice would be super helpful!

Sabja seeds, also known as basil seeds, do have some potential benefits when it comes to weight loss, and they might give you a bit of help in your journey. They’re high in fiber, which can help to keep you feeling full longer, and that can lead to eating less over time if you incorporate them into a balanced diet. When you soak them in water, they swell up, making them more filling, which might also aid in appetite control. Mixing them in smoothies as you’ve been doing is actually a good approach. Just make sure that your overall intake is balanced and not calorie-laden. It’s worth noting that while sabja seeds can be a useful addition, they aren’t magic bullets for weight loss. Their effect is relatively modest, so it’s important to look at them just as one part of a wider approach, which includes eating a variety of nutrient-dense foods, controlling portion sizes, and staying active. Regular physical activity is crucial in your routine and works alongside dietary changes to help lose weight. As always, think about hydration too. Sabja seeds need to be fully soaked for safe consumption due to their ability to expand; not soaking them thoroughly could lead to a choking hazard. Keep in mind this can’t be the only strategy, you’ll want to think about your overall caloric intake vs expenditure, and make sure to follow any dietary advice your doctor gave regarding your surgery preparation. As you’re considering your food choices, and whether or not to consume sabja seeds more frequently, remember that varied and balanced nutrition is key. So, continue with physical activities and incorporate them in moderation alongside other whole foods. If you’re still on the fence, or if adding them creates any digestive discomfort, it might be beneficial to discuss with a dietitian or your healthcare provider. They can give more tailored recommendations based on your specific health needs, which might be especially important in relation to your upcoming surgery.
