Hello Thank you for letting me know. Numbness along with sudden weakness and loss of strength in your right arm, especially after also having dizziness and a balance problem, is a serious warning sign. These symptoms could mean a problem with your brain or nerves, such as a mini-stroke (TIA) or stroke.
What you should do: If you have any of these symptoms right now (even if they come and go), you should seek medical attention immediately: - Weakness or numbness in your arm or leg (especially on one side) - Trouble speaking or understanding speech - Drooping of the face - Sudden vision changes - Severe headache - Loss of balance or coordination
Even if your symptoms are mild or improving, it’s important to get checked by a doctor as soon as possible. Time is very important in these situations.
Please do not wait or try to manage this at home. Go to the nearest emergency room or call for medical help right away.
Thank you
Sudden weakness in the arm accompanied by dizziness and balance disturbance can be concerning and warrant urgent medical evaluation. These symptoms could potentially signify a transient ischemic attack (TIA) or even an early sign of a stroke, which requires immediate attention. The persistence of symptoms like arm weakness suggests that it’s crucial to seek emergency medical care. Quick intervention could be pivotal if this is vascular in origin. Other considerations for the symptoms include nerve impingement or neuropathy, which can cause weakness and abnormal sensations. Sporadic dizziness might point towards inner ear issues or could even be an effect of a medication. A detailed medical history and examination by a healthcare provider is essential in determining the exact cause. If a cerebrovascular event or heart issues are suspected, imaging such as a CT scan or MRI, along with cardiovascular assessment, might be conducted. For nerve-related issues, examination by a neurologist could be appropriate. Assuming no emergent condition is identified and if symptoms persist after medical evaluation, physical therapy or occupational therapy might be necessary as part of the rehabilitation process. Until medical advice is obtained, avoid any heavy lifting or activities that could strain your arm further. Understanding the exact cause is key for managing the issue appropriately, so do not delay in seeking professional medical evaluation immediately.

Sudden weakness in one arm lasting 4–12 hours, especially with numbness, brief dizziness, and balance disturbance, is concerning for a possible stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) and must be treated as a medical emergency.
Even if symptoms are mild or partially improved after sleep, persistent weakness is not normal and should not be ignored.
Please go to the nearest Emergency Department immediately or call emergency services for urgent evaluation (brain imaging and neurological assessment), as early treatment is critical.
