I am working in ENT and yeah it’s way more than just treating colds or blocked noses. I deal with all kinds of ear, nose and throat issues – like ear infections, tinnitus, hearing problems, nasal polyps, tonsillitis, balance stuff and weird throat sensations that don’t make sense at first. People come in with things that look simple but turns out, they’ve been dealing with it for months just hoping it’ll go away!! I get that tho. Most days, I handle a mix – maybe one patient has allergic rhinitis that just doesn’t let up, another’s got a voice issue or some dizziness. Some cases need ear cleaning, others need full nasal endoscopy or hearing tests. It’s not about jumping to treatment fast but actually figuring out what’s going on deep down. That’s the part I like. Listening properly and not just treating the loudest symptom. I try to explain in regular words, without dumping medical lingo. ENT issues affect daily life more than ppl realise — imagine not sleeping cause of snoring or losing balance every time you stand up?? These things matter. And yah I keep up with stuff like audiometry, minor ENT procedures and scope work when needed. If I can help someone breathe, hear, or sleep better without panic, I’d say that’s a good day.
Achievements:
I am honestly more focused on patient’s actual well being than ticking boxes. Doesn’t feel right to rush through consults just to wrap up fast?? Whether it’s smthing basic like a blocked ear or stuff that’s been ignored for years, I try to listen properly. And ya maybe that’s my main achievement — being the kind of doctor patients come back to not just for treatment but cause they felt heard. That trust, that relief in their voice... kinda means the most tbh. Healing ain’t always abt medicines alone.

I am an ENT specialist with MS in Otorhinolaryngology, and yeah that basically means I deal with all sorts of ear, nose, throat stuff—sometimes minor, sometimes really tricky. My journey in this field started way back during med school, but it really took shape when I started digging deeper into the surgical side of ENT. I got drawn to the way tiny structures in the head-neck region can cause big problems... and fixing those? Kinda became my thing. I usually manage everything from chronic sinus issues, nasal polyps, deviated nasal septum, ear infections, hearing loss cases to things like vocal cord nodules and thyroid swellings. There’s a lot people don’t realise about ENT, like how vertigo can be tied to the inner ear or how simple allergies can wreck someone’s sleep—makes you look at the body as this connected mess of systems that need tuning more than fixing. Surgery’s part of what I do, not all of it. I do a fair bit of outpatient diagnosis too... endoscopic exams, audiometry interpretation, allergy management—sometimes it’s not about rushing to the OR but figuring out what the patient actually needs. And yeah sometimes that takes time, and explaining things over again bcoz ENT symptoms can get confusing for people. One thing I’m big on is clarity. I try and make sure patients leave the consult with less fear, more understanding—even if they’re not sure yet about treatment. I mean you don’t wanna leave someone feeling worse just cause they didn’t get the jargon right? That bugs me. Right now I’m also keeping up with the newer tech in ENT—minimal invasive techniques, better imaging, laser interventions... It’s a fast field if you're looking. I don’t claim to know it all, but I do make sure I keep learning, whether it’s by reading up late or bugging seniors when something doesn’t sit right. Anyway if you’re dealing with ENT stuff—frequent cold, blocked nose, ear ringing, tonsils, snoring, whatever—you don’t have to “wait and watch” forever. Sometimes you just need the right person to hear you out, literally.
