Dr. Sandeep Vaddigiri
Experience: | 8 years |
Education: | Osmania General Hospital |
Academic degree: | MCh (Master of Surgery) |
Area of specialization: | I am a practicing urologist and most of my work revolve around treating urinary stone problems, prostate related conditions, sexual health concerns, infertility issues and also guiding patients with dialysis queries. Many cases also come with urinary leakage or continence troubles, which require both medical and sometimes surgical approach, and I try to balance both carefully. Over the years I realised that patients often hesitate to talk about sexual or fertility problems openly, so I make it a point to create safe space where they can speak free without judgement. My focus is not just to treat the symptoms but to understand the underlying cause, whether its lifestyle, metabolic or anatomical. Stone disease for example needs not only removal but also long term prevention strategies. Same way prostate care involves regular monitoring and planning individualized treatment. Each case is different and I aim to provide practical, clear and patient centered solutions that improve daily life. |
Achievements: | I am proud to have received a Gold Medal in SPM, which to me was more than just an award, it showed the effort I put into understanding community medicine and public health. That subject shaped lot of my approach in day to day practice, like focusing on prevention along with treatment. Sometimes academics feel far away from clinic, but this recognition reminded me that strong foundation matter. It keeps pushing me to stay sharp and give my best in every patient care. |
I am a practicing urologist working at Dr Gangadhar Rao hospital in Bhimavaram for the past 5yrs, and most of my daily work is around diagnosing and treating wide range of urinary tract and kidney related disorders. I deal with conditions like kidney stones, urinary tract infections, prostate enlargement, bladder issues, and sometimes complex urological emergencies where fast decisions matter more than anything. Over these years I got to perform both minor and major procedures, from catheterizations and cystoscopies to surgeries that require more precision and team effort. I try to combine clinical knowledge with a practical approach, always starting with listening carefully to patients history and symptoms. For me half the diagnosis is made just by paying enough attention. My focus is not just on surgical outcomes but also on post operative recovery, counselling and long term preventive care. Many patients come with anxiety about urological problems, and I keep it a priority to explain clearly what is happening and what steps are best suited for them. Working in Bhimavaram has given me exposure to both routine cases and also complicated referrals, which shaped my ability to handle emergencies and plan treatments that are both safe and effective. I also believe in continuous learning, updating my methods according to evidence based guidelines and newer technologies. At the same time I never forget the simple things – empathy, patience and clear communication – because without those even the best surgery does not feel complete. In these 5yrs, I handled hundreds of consultations and procedures, and each patient added to my learning in some way. I see my role not only as a surgeon but also as a guide for patients and families who are often confused or worried. My goal continues to be providing accessible, reliable and compassionate urology care for the community here.
