My interest also include patient education, since I strongly believe prevention saves more than cure in oral healthcare. I aim to make dental visits less stressful and more approachable, whether its a child’s first dental check or an adult dealing with chronic dental problem. |
Achievements: | I am currently working as DMO in Sibsagar, which honestly is a role that keep me on my toes everyday. Handling district level responsibilities mean not just clinical care but also coordination of health services, supervising staff, managing emergencies when they arise and making sure essential medical facilities reach people who often struggle to access them. It feels demanding but also rewarding, since every decision touches many lives at once. Being in this position has sharpen my administrative skills along with my clinical practice, and given me a wider perspective on public health delivery. |
I am Dr Hafizur Rahman, a BDS dentist with further training in aesthetic dentistry, and over the years my focus really moved toward helping patients not just fix their teeth but also feel good about the way their smile look. I like to keep my practice balanced between preventive care, like regular check ups, scaling, fluoride, and also restorative things such as fillings or crowns where needed. At the same time I have interest in cosmetic dental procedures, veneers, whitening, shaping etc, because many times a small change in smile can make a big shift in confidence. I tend to spend time with my patients, explaining treatment plans in simple words, because oral health can be confusing and sometimes people just nod even when they dont fully get it. For me comfort and clarity is important, so I try to make procedures painless as possible, and make sure they know what we are doing step by step. My training in aesthetic dentistry allows me to combine functional corrections with beauty, which I find quite rewarding. I work with a philosophy of evidence based dentistry, choosing treatment backed by clinical data and international guidelines, but also adapting it to each patient’s lifestyle. A big part of my work is preventive dentistry, because catching early signs of cavities or gum disease save much bigger problems later. I also enjoy restorative work where broken or decayed teeth can be restored to health, and cosmetic dentistry where we go a bit beyond health and help people smile openly without hesitation. Over time I learned that dentistry is not only about drilling or restoring but also about counselling—nutrition, oral hygiene, and habits like clenching or grinding which impact long term dental health. I see myself as someone who bridges the medical side with patient-friendly communication. My aim is always to give patients healthier teeth, confident smile, and overall better oral wellbeing, whether it’s a routine checkup or a more complex aesthetic procedure.
