Area of specialization: | I am a general surgeon by training, but my work often goes much beyond the basic label. Most of my daily cases revolve around hernia surgery, gastrointestinal problems, varicose vein management, piles, hemorrhoids and fistula care. I also do laparoscopic surgery, which in many cases help patients recover faster and with lesser pain. Over the yrs I realised general surgery is not only about cutting or fixing, it’s about carefully listening to what the patient feel, studying their reports properly, and then choosing a path that fits both safety and comfort.
I treat conditions like abdominal pain, bowel issues, or vascular concerns with a balanced mix of medical and surgical approach. Sometimes it means operating, other times it means reassuring the patient that surgery is not needed yet. Hernia repair is one area I got more experienced with, since it’s common and yet every case can show small differences that demand attention. Same with piles and fistula patients, where pain, anxiety and embarrassment often come before the actual disease, and that need empathy as much as surgical skill.
Endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques became a strong part of my practice too, and though I enjoy open surgeries, the benefits of minimally invasive methods are clear. I also handle varicose veins, which are often underestimated but can create big impact on daily life if ignored. My focus always stay on clear communication, evidence-based treatment and guiding patients step by step. Some days the schedule is heavy, some days surgeries get delayed, but the aim is always same – safe care with good results. |
Achievements: | I am someone who kept pushing my self in academics and practical skills too.. over the yrs I got my BLS and ACLS certifications done, and also ATLS which help a lot in emergency case managment. I worked on various publications that gave me better insight into evidence based medicine. One of the high points was recieving best paper award at a state level conference, small moment but it did encourage me. These achievemnts keep me focused on improving patient care day by day. |
I am a medical doctor who started my residency at Bangalore Medical College, and that period really gave me the solid foundation in clincial practice and decision making that I rely on till today. I worked across many departments and got to handle varied cases, from routine diagnosis to emergency care, and those yrs shaped my approach to patient care. Later I joined as a Senior Resident at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, where I was more deeply involved with managing in-patients, supervising OPDs, and working along with both faculty and students. That role made me understand the value of team work in medicine, because half the time you are guiding juniors while still learning from seniors, and balancing both teaching and patient load can be intense but also satisfying. Right now I am working at Victoria Hospital, Bangalore, where the exposure is wide and often challanging. I deal with high patient flow, complex cases that demand quick judgment, and conditions that cover everything from acute emergencies to chronic disease management. The environment here keep me grounded, because every day you realise how much trust patients put in you and how important clear communication is for their recovery. Over time I developed a stronger focus on evidence-based medicine, preventive health, and a patient-centered approach, always trying to listen first before deciding treatment. My experience in these institutions has taught me to value both technical skills and human connect. Whether it is assisting in procedures, interpreting test results, or simply calming an anxious family, I try to approach it with patience and empathy. I dont say everything is perfect, sometimes work pressure is heavy, sometimes outcomes not what we hope, but I keep reminding myself why I entered this profession. The journey from residency to senior residency and now Victoria hospital has been steady, and I am still learning everyday.
