Dr. Bibin Baby
Experience: | 2 years |
Education: | Kerela University of Health Sciences |
Academic degree: | MS (Master Of Surgrey) |
Area of specialization: | I am an ENT specialist trained through a long journey that started with my MBBS from Govt Medical College Kottayam in 2018. After that I moved into postgraduation and finished my MS in Otorhinolaryngology at Govt Medical College Kozhikode in 2023, where I got wide exposure to handling both common ENT problems and more complex surgical cases. To deepen my learning, I completed my DNB in ENT from the same institution in 2024, which gave me additional structured training and practical expereince.
My specialization cover a broad spectrum within otorhinolaryngology, including management of ear disorders, nasal and sinus conditions, throat and voice related problems, and emergency airway procedures. I have trained in endoscopic surgeries, micro ear and microlaryngeal surgeries, and rhinological procedures like septoplasty and FESS. Beyond surgery, I focus strongly on accurate diagnosis using tools like nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy and audiological assessments, as these are essential for creating safe and effective treatment plans.
What drives my approach is the balance of both surgical skill and patient-centered care. ENT as a field demand precision but also empathy—whether restoring hearing, improving breathing, or treating vertigo that affect daily life. With the combination of my MBBS, MS, and DNB training from reputed govt institutions, I work to bring evidence-based solutions while making sure patients feel understood and supported through every step of care. |
Achievements: | I am working as a Senior Resident in Govt Medical College, Ernakulam till Dec 2024, where I manage a wide mix of ent cases and emergency care on daily basis. Along with my residency, I went through specialized trainings and completed a certificate course in Pediatric Vestibular Assessment in 2024 which help me handle balance issues in children with more confidence. I also earned certification in Vertigo & Balance Disorders Management the same year, adding more depth to my clincal skills. These step shaped my profile stronger. |
I am Dr. Bibin Baby, working as an ENT specialist with special focus on vestibular assessment and balance disorders. My journey in otorhinolaryngology started at the Govt Medical College, Kozhikode, where I trained in depth on a wide range of ENT conditions and lifesaving procedures. Over the years I have handled patients of all age groups, but I carry a special interest in pediatric ENT and in vestibular care where dizziness, vertigo and balance issues often disrupt everyday life more than people realise. During my practice I gained solid hands-on experience in procedures like tracheostomy during airway emergencies, micro ear surgeries such as tympanoplasty, myringoplasty, myringotomy, and cortical mastoidectomy. I also routinely manage microlaryngeal surgeries including vocal cord polyp excision, helping patients regain their voice and confidence. My work in rhinology includes septoplasty, functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), and submucous resection for nasal obstructions or chronic sinus problems. On the diagnostic side I am well trained in techniques like diagnostic nasal endoscopy, otoendoscopy, videolaryngoscopy, stroboscopy and flexible laryngoscopy, which allow me to accurately evaluate and plan treatment. I also integrate vertigo and migraine management into my ENT practice, dealing with both pediatric and adult cases, since balance disorders often overlap with neurological symptoms and require careful evaluation. What keeps me engaged in this field is the mix of precision, quick decision making, and long-term care. ENT problems can be sudden and life threatening, like airway block, or slow and chronic, like sinusitis or ear disease. My approach is to provide thorough evaluation, clear communication, and evidence-based treatment tailored for each patient. For me, ENT practice is not only about treating illness but also restoring quality of life—whether it’s helping a child hear better, relieving someone’s long-standing vertigo, or making breathing easier for a patient who struggled for years.
