Dr. Apurwa Mall
Experience: | 3 years |
Education: | LK Akhnbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Acedemy |
Academic degree: | MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) |
Area of specialization: | I am working in general medicine where my role is to manage a wide range of medical conditions that affect patients in day to day life. From fevers, infections, blood pressure, diabetes, digestive issues, to chronic illnesses that need long term follow up, I try to look at the full picture of a patients health instead of just one symptom. Many times people come with very non specific complains like fatigue or chest discomfort, and figuring out the underlying cause is a big part of what I do.
General medicine also means I coordinate care across different departments, if someone needs referral to cardiology, neurology or other specialities, I guide them in the right path. I also focus on preventive health like advising on diet, exercise, vaccinations and regular checkups which help to catch problems before they grow big.
For me the main thing is listening carefully, taking a proper history and examination, then planning treatment that suits that patient’s lifestyle and needs. Sometimes it is just simple medication, sometimes it involves ordering blood tests, ECG or imaging, and sometimes it’s a matter of reassurance and counselling.
I know in practice nothing is ever 100% straight forward, people often come with mixed symptoms or multiple conditions at once, and that’s where general medicine demands patience and careful thinking. My aim is always to give clear explanations, make patients feel understood, and deliver treatment that is both safe and effective. |
Achievements: | I am proud that I cleared the FMG exam, a step that really tested my knowledge, patience and commitment to the field. Preparing for it was not only about memorising facts but about learning to think like a clinician, connecting theory with the real world practice. Passing that exam gave me the formal recognition to move forward in medicine, and also a strong sense that all the hard work late nights and endless revision was worth it. It still remind me why I choose this path. |
I am a doctor who focus a lot on patient emergencies, patient care and communication skill. Over the years I realised that being able to respond quick in emergencies is not just about giving right medical treatment but also about staying calm and clear minded when every second count. I’ve handled situations where small delay could change the outcome, and those moments shaped the way I approach my work every day. Patient care for me is not only writing prescriptions or doing procedures, it is understanding what the patient actually going through, their worries, the fear in their family members eyes and finding a way to comfort them while still being professional. Sometimes treatment alone is not enough, listening and guiding can be as much important. Communication has always been a part of how I work. Whether it is explaining a diagnosis in simple words, discussing why a certain lab test is needed, or just making sure a patient understand their follow up plan—I see clear conversation as a big part of successful treatment. Even in stressful environment I try to keep that connection open because it builds trust and makes recovery smoother. I know I am not perfect, some days are harder, sometimes I question if I explained things enough or if a patient walk away still confused. But those doubts push me to improve and keep learning. My role is not just limited to hospitals or clinics, I see it as helping people build awareness, educating them about preventive care, guiding them to recognise symptoms early. Every patient I meet remind me that medicine is about more than protocols, it is about human lives, and the ability to stay present, compassionate, and efficient in times when they need it the most. That is what I continue to build my practice around.
