Dr. Gurpreet Batra
Experience: | 20 years |
Education: | Baba Farid University Of Health Sciences |
Academic degree: | MD (Doctor of Medicine) |
Area of specialization: | I am working in field of womens health for more than 15 yrs, most of my experince is with conditions like PCOD, uterine fibroids, irregular bleeding and other menstraul problems that affect daily life. Over time I also focused on adolescent health, helping young girls deal with issues of puberty and early cycle problems, which often go unnoticed but cause lot of anxiety in families.
I give equal importance to menopause care, since many women struggle silently with symptoms like hot flushes, mood shifts, bone weakness or bleeding issues, and they dont always know where to go. My goal is to make sure every stage of a woman’s reproductive life gets proper attention, from teenage to mid life to later years.
Sometimes treatment is simple life style change, sometimes its medication or surgery, but I try to combine medical knowledge with practical solutions that a patient can really follow. I believe patient education is a big part of care, explaining what is happening in the body, why a particular medicine or test is needed, and what the options are. This helps women feel more in control of their own health.
In these years of practice, I seen that no two cases are exactly same – PCOD in one patient can be very different from PCOD in another. That is why I work on making treatment plans highly individualized, balancing both curative and preventive aspects. For me its not just about treating disease, but also improving quality of life and long term health. |
Achievements: | I am proud that I cleared all my exams in first attempt, which reflect not just academic strenght but also focus and consistency in my work. Each stage of my education demanded hard prep, from basics of medicine to advanced clinical knowledge, and getting through without repeats gave me confidence in my foundation. For me it was not about marks alone, it was about building discipline and trust in my abilities that later carried into patient care and clinical practice. |
I am currently woking as a consultant gynaecologist and fertility specialist at Cloudnine Hospital, where I see patients with wide range of reproductive and womens health issues. Day to day my work involve both managing infertility with advanced protocols and also handling complex obstetric cases. Before joining Cloudnine I worked at NOVa infertility as a fertility specialist, and that gave me really deep exposure to cases of IVF, IUI and different assisted reproductive techniques. Earlier in my career I served as a senior resident at Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi in the dept of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, which was an intense but very rewarding training period. My focus is always on giving patient-centered care, where treatment plan is not just about protocols but also about what fits the indivisual’s need and background. I use my experince across these different institutions to combine practical clinical approach with evidence based methods. Working in such diverse setting also help me build strong skills in high-risk pregnancy management, laparoscopic procedures, and hormonal evaluation in infertility. Some days the challenges are heavy, like counseling couples who are going through long years of trying to conceive, or managing emergncy cases in labour. But those are the moments where I feel the importance of listening, guiding and sometimes just being present for patients. My training at MAMC grounded me in discipline, my work at NOVa gave me a fine grip over fertility sciences, and Cloudnine lets me bring all that together in practice today. I try to keep learning always, be it by following new guidelines or rethinking an old case, because in this field even small updates can make big diffrence in outcomes. Whether it is infertility treatment, preventive gynaecology or obstetric care, my aim stays same – provide safe, effective and empathetic care for every patient who comes to me.
