Area of specialization: | I am an orthopaedic surgeon and my main work revolve around joint replacement surgery, trauma surgery and pain managment. Over the years I handled cases where mobility was almost lost, and restoring that function is something I see as core part of my role. I also did Diploma in FIFA sports medicine, which gave me deeper insight into treating sports related injuries, from ligament tears to chronic strain, things that demand not only surgical skill but also rehab planning.
My practice cover a wide spectrum – complex fractures that need immediate stabilization, arthritis patients requiring knee or hip replacement, spine and joint pain that limit daily life. Some cases are urgent like road traffic trauma, others are long battles like degenerative bone conditions, but each need careful evaluation and step wise treatment. Pain managment is another area I focus on, because recovery is not just about fixing the problem but ensuring patients live with less pain and more freedom of movement.
I try to balance surgical precision with patient education, helping them understand what procedure means, what risk it carry and how recovery may look like. Sports injuries are close to my intrest too, and that’s where my training in FIFA diploma add value. I work with athletes and active individuals who want to return to peak form, and that need both evidence-based care and practical guidance.
In short, orthopaedics for me is not about operating alone but giving complete care, from diagnosis to rehabilitation. Whether it’s replacing a worn out joint, managing trauma after an accident, or guiding young players through injury recovery, I stay committed to treating not only the condition but also the person behind it. |
Achievements: | I am a skilld surgeon with hands on experince of performing more than 100 joint surgeries, ranging from replacemnt cases to complex trauma care. Each surgery teach me something new about precision and patient recovery. Along with this I also attended workshop in onco ortho surgery, where I learned advance methods of dealing with bone tumors and related conditions. These expereinces shaped my practice, giving me stronger confidence in both routine and challenging surgical situations. |
I am an orthopaedic surgeon by training and practice, my journey in medicine started at Calcutta National Medical College where I did my MBBS, those years gave me solid foundation of clinical skills and patient care. Later I pursued my MS in Orthopaedics from SMS Medical College, Jaipur, which shaped me more towards surgical expertise and deeper understanding of bone, joint and trauma care. I worked as an Associate Specialist at Tata Main Hospital, and that experince exposed me to large variety of orthopaedic cases – from fractures and trauma to complex joint diseases. It was a demanding enviroment but it taught me how to manage emergencies, how to co-ordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and how small detail in surgery or post care can change a patient’s recovery. Now as a Consultant at Popular Hospital, Patna, I continue this work, bringing all the learnings from earlier years into daily practice. My main focus is always on what helps patient walk again without pain or stiffness, whether it is through advanced surgical techniques or more conservative treatments like physiotherapy guidance and medical management. Orthopaedics is not just about fixing bones, it is about restoring mobility and independence, and that is what I aim for in every case. I also believe in explaining clearly to patients and their families, because trust is built when they understand the options and outcomes. Across these years I treated cases of joint replacement, degenerative bone disorders, spinal issues and traumatic injuries. Some situations are straight forward, others are complex with co-morbidities, but my approach is to give personalised care, not one formula for all. In orthopaedics every fracture tells a different story, every joint behaves in its own way, and listening to that story is as important as surgery itself. I see my role not just as a surgeon but also as someone who guide patients through fear and uncertainty. The satisfaction of seeing someone stand or walk again after long struggle, that keeps me going inspite of all the challenges in this field.
