Area of specialization: | I am an orthodontist—yeah the dental braces and aligners person—but there's way more to it than that, trust me. My work mainly revolves around correcting malaligned teeth and jaws using different tools like fixed braces, clear aligners (those transparent trays everyone asks about), myofunctional appliances and also dentofacial orthopedic techniques when it's needed. Honestly, sometimes ppl come in just wanting straight teeth but what they don’t realize is there’s often underlying habits, growth patterns or skeletal issues that need correcting too. That’s where things get interesting. I work on designing treatment plans that not only focus on smile aesthetics but also improve bite balance, facial profile, and in younger kids—jaw development too. Every case feels diff coz well, no two mouths behave same right?? One patient might need a functional appliance early on, another might benefit from just upper arch correction using aligners. I like that mix. And yeah, sometimes it’s not textbook. You tweak. You adapt. You try again. That’s where this field kinda keeps you grounded. But also on your toes. |
Achievements: | I am grateful that my academic journey in dentistry had a few proud moments—got gold medals in BDS for pedodontics, oral surgery and periodontics (yeah that was kinda unexpected honestly). Later during MDS, I again recieved a gold medal which honestly felt like all those late-night study grinds didn't totally go waste. One highlight that still sticks with me is the Student Plaque Award by the International College of Dentists... didn’t even expect to win that, but hey—made me pause for a sec and think okay maybe I'm doing something right. |
I am currently working with Toothsi as a clinic head and honestly... every day brings something new. My core area is orthodontics—specifically braces and clear aligner treatments—and I’ve kinda leaned into that over time just ‘cause I like seeing how small changes in alignment can make a huge diff in someone’s confidence, or even their basic chewing comfort (which ppl often overlook). Being in a lead role means I manage clinical decisions but also get my hands in treatment planning, patient consultations, and ya, troubleshooting when cases don’t go textbook-smooth. That part’s underrated—people think orthodontics is all straight lines and wire bends, but there’s a lot of strategy when you’re working with clear aligners, especially customizing it to different jaws, habits, timelines etc. I’m not much into the flashy stuff, but I do believe in staying current with tech—aligner biomechanics, 3D scanning workflows, treatment simulations...all that. I also really try to make my patients feel heard—not just smile, but bite, speak, and live better. There’s this huge cosmetic angle of course, but functionality is a big deal for me too. You’ll find me explaining molar movements in simple doodles or sometimes rambling a bit mid-treatment about occlusion—it’s just how I think! Point is, I care about results that last. And being in a place like Toothsi where innovation meets volume has helped me grow fast—clinically, and yeah, in just understanding patient behaviour across diff cities n setups. Anyway if you're thinkin’ about aligners or just confused whether you need ortho at all—happy to clear things up without pushing anything you don’t actually need.
