Dr. P S N Anirudh
Experience: | 10 years |
Education: | Government Dental college and Hospital , Hyderabad(Osmania) |
Academic degree: | Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) |
Area of specialization: | I am an orthodontist, mostly working with weird bites, crooked teeth, jaw issues... stuff people don’t always notice at first but it ends up affecting their smile, speech, or chewing in ways they didn’t expect. My work basically revolves around correcting dental and skeletal irregularities in both kids and adults. Sometimes the problems start early — like with growing kids who need jaw guidance using growth modification appliances. Other times, it’s adults who come in late, maybe after years of living with misalignment or jaw tension. And yeah, both are equally challenging in different ways.
I use a mix of tools — braces, aligners, retainers, functional devices, even anti-snoring appliances if that’s what’s bothering you. Not every patient wants metal braces, and honestly, not every case should have them. Clear aligners work well for many, but it depends on the issue — I don't rush into trendy fixes. Each treatment plan is sort of custom-built, and sometimes it’s not even about appearance but function. Misalignment can strain the jaw, cause speech trouble or even contribute to headaches. We try to look beyond just “straight teeth.”
Orthodontics is a slow game — requires patience, clarity in planning, and lots of follow-ups. I explain every step, because if you're gonna wear something in your mouth for months, you deserve to know why. And yeah, I won’t lie, sometimes kids aren’t easy or adults come in with doubts or fears. My job’s not just to fix teeth, it's to listen, adjust, and keep it all as smooth as possibble. |
Achievements: | I am someone who actually started this journey with a 2nd state rank that helped me land MDS admission at Osmania in 2012 — kinda proud of that to be honest, felt like a big deal at the time. After finishing postgrad, I spent a year as a Senior Resident at Gandhi Medical College, which gave me solid clinical exposure, like dealing with real messy cases not just textbook ones. And yeah, I’ve also cleared Part A of the MOrth Edinburgh program — still working on the rest, but that was a huge step!! |
I am a dentist with more than 10 years of real, hands-on experience dealing with all sorts of dental issues — from cranky toddlers who won’t sit still to adults putting off treatment till the pain becomes unbearable. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of cases, whether it's basic oral hygiene care, fillings, extractions, crowns, or something more layered like managing early childhood caries or long-neglected gum problems in adults. I try to keep things calm and simple even when the case isn't — especially when it comes to treating children. You can't treat a child’s tooth if you can't first earn their trust (and sometimes their mood swings are harder than the procedure lol). I also have 4 years of international experiance, working in a setting where I got to treat people from different nationalities, age groups, even languages — and yeah, that did push me to adapt my communication style and clinical approach. Different cultures, different expectations, but the goal is same — pain relief, good oral health, and comfort. That stint honestly shaped a lot of how I deal with patients now. Another thing I’ve been actively involved in is organising and running dental camps. Whether it’s school screenings, rural check-ups, or working with NGOs — I’ve spent time in places where access to dental care is almost none. It’s chaotic, unpredictable, rewarding — and you learn fast how to do more with less. Over the years, I’ve learned that dentistry isn’t just about tools and teeth. It’s about listening, reading between the lines, adapting. Some people are terrified of even opening their mouth, some are just tired of recurring problems. I try to treat both — the teeth, and the person behind them. And yeah, I still think there’s a lot to learn. Every mouth tells a different story.
