Pain after Aspiration procedure - #11247
2 weeks ago I had aspiration in my right wrist for ganglion cyst. No fluids was ejected during this process and was concluded to be calcified. Right now I am feeling pain on wrist movement and when I was applying mehndi on someone's hand my right hand started shaking.

It’s not uncommon to experience some discomfort or pain after an aspiration procedure, especially if no fluid was removed, as in your case with a calcified ganglion cyst. These symptoms could be related to irritation or inflammation that might occur from the procedure itself or from the underlying condition. Your current pain and tremor when using your wrist suggest there might be some irritation or inflammation in the tendons or joint structures around the area, or possibly some nerve involvement causing the shaking. It’s a good idea to minimize activities that strain the wrist, such as repetitive motions or heavy lifting, allowing the area time to heal. You can also apply ice to reduce any swelling or inflammation—do it for 15-20 minutes a few times a day. Over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications, like ibuprofen, might be helpful if you’re not allergic or have any contraindications against them. However, if you’re experiencing persistent or worsening pain, increased swelling, or new symptoms like numbness or severe muscle weakness, it would be prudent to follow up with your healthcare provider. They might decide to investigate further with imaging or other interventions to determine if additional treatment is needed. Keeping a note of any changes in symptoms or specific activities that trigger pain could provide valuable information for your next appointment.
