How to maintain liver function? - #12493
I am really worried about my liver lately. A few months ago, I started feeling super fatigued, and my doctor did some blood tests—turns out my liver enzymes were a bit elevated. Since then, I’ve been trying to eat healthier, but I feel lost. I keep googling how to maintain liver function, but there’s just so much info out there, and it’s overwhelming. Sometimes I cut out sugar and processed foods, but then I crave them and end up back where I started! I’m not a big drinker, but I do enjoy a glass of wine occasionally. Would that affect my liver function? I’ve heard that hydration is key to maintaining liver function too, but I’m not sure how much water I should even be drinking daily. Another thing that messes with me—sometimes I feel this dull ache in my right side, and I'm not sure if I should be worried about it. I want to be proactive and really learn how to maintain liver function, but what should I focus on? Are there specific foods or supplements you guys would recommend? Just feel kinda lost and want to make sure I’m doing everything right.
