which colour is best for black skin - #17913

Yuvan

I am struggling to figure out which colour is best for black skin. I mean, I love experimenting with fashion, but sometimes I really feel lost, especially when picking outfits for important events. Last month, I went to a wedding and wore a pastel pink dress, but I felt like it just washed me out, you know? Like it didn't do anything for my skin tone, which I think is pretty rich and deep. I’ve seen some friends rock those bright jewel tones and they look amazing! I keep thinking maybe I need to figure out which colour is best for black skin before I waste any more money on clothes that don't suit me. I’ve read that colors like royal blue or emerald green can really pop, but then I wonder if that’s just what people assume looks good. Sometimes simpler tones, like white or beige, just don’t seem to suit me at all. Ugh, it feels frustrating. I want to look my best without second-guessing my choices all the time. I'm curious what my options are. So, what do you guys think? Which colour is best for black skin that can make me stand out in a good way? Any specific suggestions?

Doctors' responses

I appreciate your interest in colors that complement your skin tone, but this inquiry goes beyond the medical scope and clinical practice. If you’re seeking advice on fashion and color coordination, I recommend reaching out to a fashion consultant or stylist who can offer personalized guidance tailored to your complexion and preferences. They could provide insights into the range of hues that can accentuate your features and enhance your overall look. Remember, individual style is subjective, and exploring a variety of colors might lead you to options that resonate best with your personal fashion sense.
