how to treat trichomoniasis - #26355
I am seriously freaking out right now because I think I have trichomoniasis. A few weeks ago, I started noticing some weird symptoms — like unusual discharge and I was itching down there, which is super uncomfortable. I thought maybe it was just a yeast infection or something like that, you know? Anyway, I went to my doc, and after some tests, they told me it’s definitely trichomoniasis. Now, I’m just wondering how to treat trichomoniasis. Do I need a specific medication or can this just go away on its own? I’ve heard about metronidazole, is that the go-to medicine for trichomoniasis? My friend said something about having to avoid alcohol while on it, and I don’t know, that also makes me nervous, right? Like how bad is it to drink while treating trichomoniasis anyway? Should I be worried about my partner too, like do they need to get treated right away or can we just wait? I mean, it feels like a lot to deal with and I just wanna make sure I’m doing everything right to clear this up. Anyone have tips or experiences on how to treat trichomoniasis effectively? Thanks a ton!
