how to get small forehead - #19651

Simran

I am really frustrated with my forehead size. It just feels way too big, you know? I’ve tried all sorts of haircuts, but they just don’t seem to make a different. I mean, I used to think it was just how I style my hair, but my friends say it’s all about the shape of my head or something. I watched some videos online on how to get small forehead, but most of them are just talking about bangs or hair gimmicks. It’s like, okay, yeah, but what if I wanna know how to get small forehead for real? I went to a salon recently, and the stylist suggested some contouring techniques, like, which I’ve never even thought about. I just wanna feel confident with my look! Are there exercises or anything, I dunno, that might help? I've read about things like fillers too? Is that an option? I just keep hearing people talking about how to get small forehead but nothing feels like a solution for me. Can anyone share their experience or any tips on how to get small forehead without drastic changes? Please help!

Doctors' responses

Changing your forehead size significantly without surgery or medical interventions is quite limited, but there are a few options available to address your concern. Your stylist was right in suggesting contouring techniques, as makeup can create the illusion of a smaller forehead. By using a bronzer or contour slightly darker than your skin tone, you can shade the upper perimeter of the forehead gently, blending well into the hairline and temples. This technique can visually reduce the appearance of forehead height. When it comes to non-surgical medical interventions, fillers can be a consideration, though they won’t literally reduce forehead size. They’re usually used to add volume and balance proportions in the mid-face area, which might alter the perceived balance between your facial features and make your forehead appear smaller. However, consulting with a dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon would provide a professional evaluation to see if this approach could be suitable for you. They can guide you through the process, considering risks, benefits, and costs. As for exercises or natural methods, there’s unfortunately no evidence that any exercises can change forehead size or shape. Such characteristics are largely determined by bone structure. For suggestions involving fillers or any surgical considerations, it’s critical to consult with a trained and licensed practitioner to understand potential outcomes, risks, and whether your expectations can be met. If you’re feeling significantly distressed about your appearance, speaking with a mental health professional could also provide support on self-image and confidence.
